    :)

Cheers brainbird, will send a request later when i'm on.

And yep i'm a member of the Forza 4 group. Hope to get back into the SMS again at some point when i'm up to speed, if there might be any spaces left.

Had some great races back in Forza 3. And also lots of memories of spending hours tuning cars trying to even get close to shamble's qualifying times :)

Can someone briefly outline the best 2-3 wheels for Forza 4 for me please? The ability to use it on my lap is ideal, a gear stick instead of paddle shifters, as well as the presence of a clutch pedal would be nice. Cheers.

I am on a wheel hunt but it needs to work on both 360 and ps3. Driving force is in my price range but is ps3 only :(

Not sure there are "2-3" wheels really.

There's the fanatec csr ones ()
Madcatz ones (will break at least 3 or 4 times in the initial warranty period)
Second hand ms wheels (will smell)
    Wireless shit wand wheel craps

    Go crazy....

Save some pennies up and get the only really decent option.

In the end I bought a driving force GT from GAME for 80 quid.

Yeah, I know, ps3 and PC only but there isn't a wheel that comes near it for the price.

Looks like forza will be pad and Gran Turismo will be wheel.

The lack of multi format wheels is baffling. The fanatec wheel is brilliant but the price is too rich for me at the moment. Maybe one day.

Traded Ridge Racer Unbounded for this yesterday, within an hour i could already tell it is 1000x better!

Doing the Top Gear test track in an R8 is the stuff dreams are made of - love this game after 1 day!

    Morning chaps.

Any chance of an invite into the EG club if there are any spaces? If its full that's cool, just wanted some times to race against for rivals.

    My GT is hypoBla5t.

    Chairs!!

But then why waste 80 on a wheel you don't want instead of putting it toward the one you do. The Fanetecs are pricey, but you just had a 3rd of it that you now don't have...

I recently bought the Fanatec CSR wheel with the CSR elite pedals, h-patten shifter, sequential shifter and RennSport wheel stand. Cost almost 450 in total but it's very impressive indeed.

Yes it's a lot of money and it's impossible to compare it to a 80 wheel but my advice is to save your pennies if you can and put your money towards something decent.

It also works with 360, PS3 and PC.

Oh its not wasted at all and the GT is a superb wheel. I used to have the DFP so had a fair idea of what I was getting. If I ever come into money then the fanatec will be perfect, until then the DFP opens up Gran Turismo and PC Sims so will keep me ticking over nicely.

So what do people do when they play this game then? Wanting to get my teeth into something meaty. Usually have a race or two in the season then do a bit of rivals. Does rivals update very often? Also finding it a bit more difficult to find a lobby for races than on F3. Anyone got any recommendations?

Sorry, I somehow missed this post. Have you sent a request to the club yet? I believe we are three, maybe four members who can accept them. Last time I checked (which I admit is over a week ago) there was one last spot left in the club.
There are regular SMS ("Single Master Series", courtesy of shamblemonkee) races every Tuesday at 9pm. More info can be found in the Forza 4 group.

Many thanks BB for the inv, you can kick me again when I eventually stop playing.

I think the affinity system in F4 is absolutely genius, not having to pay through the nose to make competitive motors is boss!!

How are the load times in forza 4? Been playing a bit of forza 3 for the first time in a while and the load times seem like ages even when installed also the handling seems a bit dull is forza 4 much different?

Dont kid yourself, Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, hed eat you and everyone you care about!

Bought an 05 Mustang the other night. Thanks to my great affinity to Ford, i was able to spruce it up and make it quite powerful, however, i had to sacrifice Race tyres to make sure it stayed within the A-Class bracket.

Basically, its like riding on the back of a cheetah......thats high on cocaine.......on a frozen lake........whilst wearing a jetpack.

Not the most inspiring list. Nothing to do with Top Gear either. Might be the first pack where I just buy one car (Venom), especially if the free one is reasonable.

Rivals mode is still the bane of my life. There's a skyline tune of my SF for this months VIP event if anyone's interested. GT is GingerPixel.

The Top Gear DLC is up and listed as a free purchase (I have the season pass).

However, it's not all plain sailing. When I go to download it, it's priced at -1MSP which messes things up as it then claims I'm 42 billion points short.

It's probably not going to be free is it but my hopes were raised for a second there.

I'll give it a shot from the game's car packs, as that's where the Season Pass would then make them "free" to download.

Apologies for not replying to game invites yesterday. Was just having a quick go of the Transit while checking new home network stuff, didn't have time to join online races.
