It's the last mission you can do before the reapers pinch the Citadel.

The game also saves itself right there automatically when you complete it.

That last forray was a pain in the arse with all those Banshees, but I'll do it again just to see what happens, I guess.

I don't even know if I have a spare save from that point. I know it's going to be disappointing and ruin the ending but I want to see it anyway.

I'm not sure how you ruin a bag of shit. I guess we'll see.

Because I'd rather believe IT is the real ending because it's brilliant, than have them try to make it literal and ruin it. I'm prepared to accept a part-fan theory over a clarified "normal" ending.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of made up fan crap for the new ending too.

It's not a theory that has been twisted around the ending, it's something that's there whether they make it canon or not. If they miss this opportunity they really will have fucked up the series, I love the ending so much as it is. There's a real chance they'll make it worse.

Just imported my FemShep for my second playthough and she looks like she's been hit with the ugly stick, I'm sure she used to look better than that.

Just have to do some tweaking I guess.

There's a bug which causes imported characters to not import correctly. I used default shep through the whole series and even that didn't import properly.

Anyone expecting the indoctrination theory to be mentioned in the extended cut is setting themselves up for a disappointment. There's already a photo of Mac Walters sitting there looking at a new scene from the DLC, and it just so happens to be a line of dialogue completely explaining away why the Normandy fled the battle (Hackett ordered it to).

The DLC is going to be nothing more than some extra lines of dialogue and cutscenes adding more filler to the ending. Maybe some epilogue cards like in Dragon Age.

There's also photos of the Geth under synthesis. I'm mostly interested in how they explain Shepard surviving getting blown up on the Citadel. It's great cause they said they wouldn't change the ending, yet the only way they can fix it is if they change it. I'm mostly expecting a bunch of cutscenes of every race fighting reapers then a slightly clarified ending section with the indoctrination stuff they left in being finally removed.

2 gigs of DLC = possibly more than cut scenes and epilogue cards, according to the interview I just heard.

Think I'll just switch everything off.

My Shepard had the same problem. I ended up restarting and spending a bit of time making her look closer to how i'm used to her looking. Not quite the same but close enough. The art in ME3 for some of the facial features has changed so facecodes might not match exactly and will need tweaking unfortunately.

There's an issue with importing a custom Shepard from ME1 into ME2. ME2 imports the face as a mesh and assigns the default Shepard's face code to the character as it cannot calculate the facecode from the ME1 save. I found a code from the ME2 face database and wrote a script to convert that to ME1's sliders. Bingo! The same face in both games :)

I've also edited my save games so that the decisions i made in each game were carried across correctly. As there are issues with certain flags not importing or not being recorded correctly in the first place.

    This signature intentionally left blank.

Size means absolutely nothing. A bunch of costume tat for half the roster in Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown weighs in at 2GB too.

Lots of video and audio, 2gb seems reasonable.

    Fuck, I'm such an idiot.

I reinstalled Origin and ME3 last night and played from the pre-Cerberus save up to almost the very end, thinking I'd got the fully updated version, including the new ending. I thought wrong.

I was drunk at the time, though.

So, my green bar is full, I have 5646/51% so EWR of 2879 and my next mission is Priority:Horizon, there are only 2 side quests incomplete.
I've only played one Multiplayer match which seemed to add 2% then drop to 1%, can you get the "best" ending without more multiplayer?
    Am I on track?

I saved both Geth and Quarian.

If you have an iDevice you can spam either Mass Effect: Infliltrator (which isnt a bad game, to be fair) or mass effect codex (which is free) to up your galactic readiness. It takes fucking ages to do it that way.

Multiplayer is quickest but with those stats, you wont get all of the endings.

Actually, you might. Someone did mention that they had relaxed the requirements in the light of the new endings.

    In summary: possibly

    someone say something funny

You only need 3300 EMS for the best ending. You don't need to play multiplayer and you don't even need to do half the side missions in the main game.

Extended cut dropped the best ending requirement by 2000 points.

Didn't know that! Will check my EMS score. Might be slightly spoilers but does the 3300 EMS only effect the destroy ending?

Yeah. It's because a lot of people didn't bother with the multiplayer and thus couldn't see the best ending. Not that it really matters since it's only a 10 second scene that you might as well watch on youtube..

Just checked the Mass Effect wiki and it's actually only 3100 you need.

I'm a little confused still. I've just gone past the point of no return.  My galactic readiness was 65%.  my Overall military strength was 4,800 and my effective military strength was 2,950.

Does this mean i won't have access to certain endings? Is the 3,100 for overall strength or effective?  i'd be surprised if i was too low cos I've done nearly all the side missions barring a handfull.

Effective Military Strength has to be 3,100.
