I've just put up a new door closer at work, as the fluid had started leaking and the door kept on slamming really loudly, which is really annoying. I had to drill new holes in the door as the new one's a different size, and also I put the main body on the door before attaching the arm to the door frame, and I couldn't screw one of the screws in because the arm was then in the way, so I had to take it off the door and then screw it all back on again.

But now the door closes as quietly as a mouse! Hurrah!

On saturday I built a bug-box for the garden. It's fucking shit. I'll post a picture at some point. It's really awful. I'm still chuffed though.

I've levelled up my manliness by purchasing a 21inch cutting blade 200cc self-drive petrol lawn mower.

However, I can barely turn the thing with my feeble IT arms.
I know how that feels. Trying to crank the lawnmower after a winter in the shed is quite a work out.

Trying to do some gardening and haven't got a fucking clue what I'm doing, so I've just butchered everything with one of those electrical chainsaw things. Weeds, flowers, the hedge, bushes, trees, everything.

    Sparrows, hedgehogs, neighbours...

That's what gardening is. You're on the right track. Hit something with an axe, dig something else up and throw it over the hedge.

You need at least two types of axe too - a limp-wristed little hand-axe needs a big fuck off felling axe to compliment it.

Remember, you're not finished until your hands and forearms are covered in bramble scratches.

I hope this "electrical chainsaw" you reference is really hedge clippers?

    Men don't own electric chainsaws.

I put in a new window pane into a window that had broken at work. I've got putty everywhere and had to buy a new chisel to chip away the old putty, but it was worth it.

I will now look at that window everyday and think, "I did that", whilst wiping away a tear.

I got bitten by a horsefly while strimming today. Looking forward to it turning into a giant blue swelling and itching like buggery at night :(

I took care of a wasps nest last night.

I won't claim it was manly of me, because after spraying I ran like a little girl.

Nice! We've currently got a LOT of bees (honey and bumble) in our garden and I'm really hoping that they honey bees will swarm. That would be awesome.

I'd love a hive. Lot of work though, stupid bees.

    Has this stopped being manly?

I lurk. If I've spoken to you, I'm either impassioned, or drunk.

If I could have a bee bonnet, just for one day, that would probably be it for me. Game over, life completed.
