Yeah Shopto is where I've pre-ordered.
The preview in last month's Games™ says you can read through a list of all voice commands to get it to learn properly, which is a nice idea even if it does give me flashbacks to working with Dragon Dictate. There'll be other things it'll recognise as well but won't be in the list though for spoiler reasons.
The list is in the demo, I actually went through and gave them all a try, god knows why but I found it vaguely entertaining
Some took a few tries, I think it wants more American English than west country English, so that's probably why. It seems that I say 'fuck' wrong, not sure how you can say that wrong but no matter how much I swore at my xbox it didn't get the message

Ooh, I will give that a go tomorrow then!

had a quick go at the first mission in the demo late last night. much more impressed with this than I was expecting. There is a good feel to the controls and a nice solidity to the movement of the character. as others have said it seems to be channeling vanquish (always a good thing) crossed with a bit of gears and mass effect.
definitely how a demo should be done as it has greatly increased my interest in getting the game. not tried the voice command stuff yet but will have a go this evening.
i wish this had push to talk as an option.
despite fiddling with the noise sensitivity it always picks up noise during firefights which are always interpreted as 'fuck' or 'damn' and then my teammates get pissed off at me apparently whining

When is this released?
Is it out that soon? I didn't even realise.
I guess it'll have to wait until after I finish KoA and ME3 until I get it then.
Unless it scores highly and is hailed as a new successor to Vanquish, where I'll cave all too easily........
I can't see it reviewing well. It's too ugly.
It's a bit of a brutal release window, going up against Kingdoms of Amalur, Darkness 2, Syndicate, Mass Effect 3, Vita, SSX. Being a relatively unknown Japanese game from Sega who are rubbish at marketing, I can't see it selling that well.
Sega always sends Nagoshi's games to die in the west. Someone's still sore over F-Zero GX's Story Mode, I guess.
It is pretty stupid, nothing comes out for weeks and now it's second Christmas, are publishers completely gormless or something?

Demo is certainly nice. Shooting the legs off of robots and watching them crawl seems to never get old.
The French robot/ninja who helps you in the second part of the demo gets old quick however
Comic relief french accents never get old.
Was he French in the JP demo ? Must've been, thankfully disguised by the Japanese speech. He certainly won't be picked for my squads. There's too many camp French gun-toting robot butlers in games these days.
As for the English demo, great stuff. Voice recog seems quite happy with my mumbling Scots, and it still seems to have that great Yakuza mix of serious plot/silliness galore. Sold.
ED: Found some GT vids-
Didn't realise it had a full MP suite. Interesting.

I cancelled my pre order with shop to and pre ordered with savvi cause you get fab assault rifle and 3 skills unlocked for single player. Iv constantly played the demo, its great. The run animation is how it should be done, Bioware!

Demo downloaded, looking forward to seeing how it plays later in the weekend.
I was in the early think this game would be crap brigade then I played the demo. Was actually smiling playing this, was fun to play, trying to surgical destroy the robots by either shooting their arms or legs off. Watching some robot with its head destroyed wandering around shooting its gun willy nilly in every direction. Getting attacked by robots after you have shot their legs off or one of their arms never gets old
Like that trust part, shot a teammate to often they won't trust you and won't accept your orders. Will be good to see how that plays out in the full game. Never tried the voice commands.
Story is like terminator meets Irobot
Shame there is so many games out at the same time. People may say the graphics are bland, at least the game runs smoothly, loads of debris flying around as you destroy the armour on the robots
As for that French bloke just wished they based him on the French policeman from Allo Allo
Does game include co op campaign? More impressed with this than the syndicate co op demo
All I'm waiting for is the turn based Xcom game next
Just watched that 3rd YouTube video and it has sold me even more on this game
So in the campaign you can see different outcomes with different players in your squad and whether they trust you or not. Hope that is as good and varied as they say and Not just hyping up Pre release PR
One neat little thing was the option to change your controls as you are on the level loading screen, thought that was neat little touch

I tried the demo this evening, and it was better than I was expecting. I wasn't keen on the annoying French robot, but I like how you can shoot bits off the enemy ones.
I think 'Binary Domain' is a terrible name though. It sounds like something I'd find in my network settings.
It's Japanese so a bad title is practically mandatory
@asho: I'd like to believe that too but I'm 90% sure this will not make it into the top 10 and will probably disappear off the charts after the first week.
True, but at 30 quid in most places, I'm quite happy to buy/support* it now. I miss these lil' obscure gems that used to be two'a'penny in the PS2 era.
*(....c'mon Yakuza 5.......c'mon)
IGN gave it 7.5 but the review read like a 8.5 imo, good positive review and I liked this bit:" makes for a fresh and often thrilling experience, with only a handful of negatives holding it back from greatness".

8's seem to be the average scores around the globe and a 9 from a german playstation game site. Im surprised theres not much interest at the mo and its out tomorrow. Hell even EG has'nt even got a review in for it yet the shameful bunch of lazy gits.
Anyone know what the language options will be on the 360 version of this? I know the Japanese PS3 version changes based on your language settings but I'm not sure about the 360, what with the relatively limited storage.
japanese 360 version has full english in it, not sure about other languages but it's english by default in an english machine
edit: and the devs said it recognises 6 languages for speech so you'd assume those six were on the discs as subs at least

On chapter 4 now and I'm really enjoying myself, it's a damn fine game.

In case anyone's missed this, Zavvi are offering BD for £28.85.
Only got round to D/L the demo last night, so will be sure to give that a go soon enough.
