I see Ferguson is playing the victim again, this time on behalf of poor little 200 grand a week Wayne Rooney. How dare the country's governing body occasionally ask him to do some promo work for them, how very dare they.

I mean, this is the guy who kicked out at a Montenegro player for no reason and weakened his national side's chances in a tournament as a consequence. The FA could have easily said "we don't want you going at all now" but instead they sided with Hodgson and let him go.

Surely it was the run that started in late February that turned it around?
Yes with the 5-2. But I was optimistic we could go on a late run last season because we went on a decent unbeaten run before Christmas. We haven't shown anything like that consistency this season.

According to Sky AVB was lucky with the squad he inherited at Spurs. What that says about Chelsea could be taken in a number of ways.

Redknapp was giving it all that the other week as well. Saying how AVB had essentially just kept up Harry's work, etc.

It's a practice drill to open and remove the turnstiles in the event of a need for a mass evacuation.

It has to be done a few times each season as part of the Safety Certificate. It tests the response times etc just incase there has to be a partial or full evacuation of the stadium.
They just went 1-0 down to City so I assume it means getting out of there seats and going home, which could explain the word Exercise
    Hehe.

    Heh, just Googled it myself.

I thought it might be some cringey way to get the fans behind the team, TBH.

"A very young referee lecturing a very senior, experienced Premier League player!" the commentator says with incredulity. Yeah, who's the ref to dare speak to Steven Gerrard?

Liverpool's defence is just terrible. Huge amounts of space in front of the back four for Bale et al to run into and when they double up on attackers they don't pressure the ball enough.
