@spindle9988 If it's the guy I think you have in mind, apparently he did not play a derby in his time with a Manchester club.

'Many sources (including Wikipedia) credit Paul Stewart with derbies in Manchester, Merseyside, north London and Tyne-Wear, but City historian Gary James, author of the recently published Manchester, the City Years (James Ward, 25) confirms that his 15 months at the club did not include a derby. Stewart can, however, claim south London appearances for Crystal Palace against both Millwall and Charlton, as well as Blackpool versus Preston (League Cup). He could even have added a rare Potteries meeting between Stoke City and Port Vale, but missed both matches when at Stoke in 1997-8, his last league season.'

The second guy is still to be named. He's currently playing for an Italian club.

    Beckham may now qualify.

The play I was thinking about is GVB. Old firm, North London, El Classico and De Klassiker.

I didnt even think of the MLS to be honest, but im pretty sure he's played in the following :

    Inter v AC
    Leeds v United
    Spurs v Arsenal
    Liverpool v Everton
    Rangers v Celtic

Edit - pretty sure he did Villa v birmingham too!

@nickthegun Surely Man Utd vs Liverpool is the major derby of the Prem?

    But good shout anyway.

Not technically a derby though I would have thought. Similar to Real / Barca.

Beckham is incorrect, just checked it and he never played a Milan derby while on loan there.

Roz is correct. Saha has played in Utd vs City, Spurs vs Arsenal, Fulham vs Chelsea, Everton vs Liverpool and Sunderland vs Newcastle. Currently playing for Lazio.

Surely a true derby is those in the same city?

After further research, he may have done West Ham v Millwall in the FA too - Robbie Keane is the King of Derby matches!

Gabriel Heinze played in Utd vs City, PSG vs Marseille (for both teams), Clasico, Roma vs Lazio.

He's also played for Newells vs Rosario which is an Argentinian derby.

I dunno. I think you can have a broad definition now. Everyone calls El Classico a derby even though it isnt.

I consider Derby V Forest a local derby. Same region, obviously different cities.

Did Keane actually play in the Milan derby? He only played a handful of games over there, so that would be quite lucky.

Woohoo. I could recall him playing for Utd, Everton and Fulham easily it was the spells at Spurs and Sunderland which I forgot despite them being so recent.
Chelsea vs Fulham isn't really a derby, there is a strange lack of rivalry despite the close proximity.

@Dougs Yrah, but the Real vs Barca shouldn't count... GVB probably played in Barca vs Espanyol though, so still valid.
