Form is temporary, being QPR is permanent.

I get the feeling that if Pulis does go Stoke will quickly disappear into whatever black hole they came out of.

I am actually very anti-Stoke generally (no offence to your mum's bf). An ex housemate really put me off them. She and all he Stokey friends were all cunts. Plus everyone I've ever met from Stoke claims to have some connection to Robbie Williams, who is also a cunt.

Yeah, my dads a Stoke season ticket holder and Stoke have reached the point in their evolution where results aren't going to improve so the only variable, without significant financial investment, that can be frigged with is the quality of football.

I get a fair few free tickets, but watched the fulham match with sober eyes; it wasn't pretty.

I absolutely loathe Stoke. And Pulis in particular. Although the idea of him prancing around the dressing room starkers, wearing only a baseball cap, as he lambasts James Beattie is hilarious.

The thing is, they have plenty of wedge so they could go and get a decent manager without having to slum it down to the likes of Megson.

You can tell how cunty Stoke is by the way that they sound like scousers, despite being from the midlands.

I'm interested in what Di Matteo is going to do next. I wonder what his reputation is outside this country.

Atmosphere is excellent at the brit, and the nature of basing your game around hell for leather last ditch defending makes for a tense experience.

Like the 20 minutes when Real dominated against United is like the usual first 80 minutes of a Stoke home match.

Watchable if you're shitfaced and neutral.

Which, to be honest, will be a real shame as Villa will be a loss to the premiership but someone really does have to put a stop to this slow motion car crash they are stuck in.
I'm not convinced that relegation is the answer.
I dont think it is either. Its properly difficult to get out of that division (something west ham fans dont seem to appreciate) but at least it will force the issue one way or another, rather than watching this agonising decline.
I'm not sure what the solution is apart from a change of chairman but that could also spell an even worse end to the current situation. There's quite a cry for Lerner out from some fans but I'm not behind it. I think, if we survive this season and Lambert is given time then things will turn around. We pushed for champions league and failed. There's a lesson there for other clubs who may wish to do the same.

You are a factory of sadness.

I worked with a very amiable Stoke supporter, seemed like a decent chap and wasn't blind to their style of football either. Ironically he was born down south in Surrey.

Edit: Actually, no idea why that would be ironic but it was certainly odd.

It's a pretty deprived area. The BNP got a seat on the council.

Historically it's famous for the pottery industry but now it's kind of the arsehole of Britain, although with money there are nice places.

The people are generally fine, not 'cunts' just that they react the same way people always tend to in working class communities and blame migrants.

There is a large asian community, which tends to get blamed for the decline in industry.

Apparently Jermain Defoe has won the lottery. Like, seriously. Not a joke story.

Why would someone who earns millions do the lottery?

    It's this story:

Somehow it's come out that it's Defoe.

It's not that surprising is it? Footballers and gambling go hand in hand. Most of them are fairly well into their horses.

Yeah, they're backed as a loss leader by a betting company aren't they?

Yeah, but in a going to Aintree and and wearing top hats and slapping down millions on a horse kind of way. Not sitting in Ladrokes with a hip flask and your dole check.

Lottery is strictly a poor man's tax. It's about a life you can only dream of, and thus chuck a 1 in the bin once a week just to entertain the idea. If you actually live that life, you don't do it.
