""Harry was more 'go out there and play how you feel and express yourself'. With André, there's a certain shape and a style we play," Bale said. "I think Harry was more free and let you do what you want. André does that too but there's a lot more tactical work. I think it's something that's good to learn. We've done well this year and I think that's down to our defending as well as attacking.""

Goal line technology confirmed to be used from the start of next season, good to see the PL adopting it straight away.

 I didn't have time to reply to this yesterday. It's great supporting Chelsea, the highs of winning things and gloating in the success far outweighs the lows of Europa league football and overblown controversies. The biggest problem is its expensive but that's the price you pay to watch world class football and I'm very lucky to have that opportunity

Cue the system missing a clear goal on the first day of the season.

Just when you thought Lawro couldn't get any more annoying he's joined by Piers Morgan:

Yeah of course I am serious, I'm not just lucky to watch Chelsea but the teams we get drawn against in the Champions League and the rest of the premiership. I've seen Messi, Ronaldinho, Figo, Rivaldo, Maldini, Leonardo, Kahn, Buffon, Pirlo play live, I'm very lucky. The thing that annoys me the most is that we never seem to get drawn against Real Madrid.

We are excellent, we might be having a bad period at the moment with Rafa and Torres but its balanced out by being champions of europe and we have a lot of great young players so the future looks good.
We also made a profit in the last year so our finances are not that bad, ffp is a bit of a joke as far as I can see it just plays into our hands as it stops other billionaire backed clubs reaching our current level of spending.

Wow - that does sound pretty blinkered.

So how much is he owed by the club currently?

I lurk. If I've spoken to you, I'm either impassioned, or drunk.

Didn't he transfer all the loans into equity or something like that?

I remember talking to a Chelsea fan about this many years back. It really never seems to come up in the press, like all the cash is coming out of his pocket. They are utterly fucked when he leaves.

The club paid £42 million in severance deals to Luiz Felipe Scolari and his coaching team that year
