QPR have won two games in 27.

    I just find that staggering.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

Last night was amazing. Bale is actually rising to the hype. He just gets better and better the more he's bigged up by the press. So lucky to have him.

Just makes me smile looking back at the very first post in this thread. I mean, he was a promising player back then kalel....look at him now.

That was just after he scored a hat-trick in the San Siro against Inter. Ah, happy memories.

I think he'll stay for another year, regardless of what happens (though think you'll get top 4 comfortably). He's only 23 and knows that he's got a few years before he reaches his peak, so doubt he's in a rush to leave.

    We'll see.

On another note, Pogtetz may be the worst player I've ever seen in the PL. There were shades of Ali Dia last night when he came on. No idea what Sam was thinking with some of those subs. I was so glad to see Diame go off.

For all their bluster and passion, they are a terrible side that play terrible football. Had it not been for the game of Jussi's life it would have been a massacre last night.

It was also the very same day my (now ex) girlfriend and I parted ways after ten joyful months together ...

    ... ah, happy memories indeed.

Yeah, they were dreadful - it's why I wasn't surpised when you won, even after going behind. And Pogatetz was all over the place - Demel was doing OK. Odd decisions. Did I see BFS try and blame the ref?!

Not sure. He seemed to think they should have scored a third goal somehow.

Heh, remember when I said giving Adebayor a permanent contract was a stupid idea and all the Spurs fans laughed at me?
I'd still laugh at you for that. 5m for Ade is good business. It really is.

He hasn't got his goal-scoring boots on at the moment but he still works hard, plays a key role, and we're much better with him in the team. For the money we paid it's a no brainer. The issue isn't signing Ade, the issue is not signing another striker in addition.

It is a btw a glass house I feel very much a Liverpool fan shouldn't be throwing stones in...

I actually think Harry has done an ok job tbh, but there was just too much to fix.

Still can't believe he signed Samba for 12.5m with 100k pw wages, I mean what was he thinking? I think I read if he stays there for the duration of his contract they will have spent circa 30m on him.

I'm actually quite nervous about our game against QPR on Saturday. A lot of our fans think the three points are in the bag already and are more interested in creative ways to abuse Redknapp that what might be happening on the pitch.

This could easily backfire and leave us looking like mugs.

The reaction by some Arsenal fans to Bale is hilarious. You'd think no-one else was allowed to buy players and develop them. Children, the lot of them.

Twitter, mainly. And AWIMB, but that barely counts, seeing as there are about 30 regs tops.

    Bale is a coont.

I was having an argument at the beginning of the season that Bale and Walcot were on the same level (based on stats, you see? Because stats tell the whole story.....in this case).

Now I'm left looking like a mug.
He keeps this up and he's a shoe-in for player of the season.

And he's the sole reason I believe spurs will finish above us (much like RVP for us last season). We have a better chance of finishing above chelsea than spurs now. IMO of course.

Is it fair to sat that Walcott has gone off the boil since being given his new contract?

And RVP is the sole reason Man U are pissing the premiership this season. ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIIIIIFEEE.

Speaking of which, southgate raised a good point yesterday. Bale is *exactly* the kind of person Man U need/buy and if they did, their forward line would be one of the best in the world. They would shit the league next year if they dug deep and bought him.

It must be quite annoying for Man U that they could have easily have bought him instead of us.

Walcott was rubbish against Villa. I can't remember him doing anything particularly dangerous. Bennett showed him inside and he basically didn't do anything on the inside and rarely threatened to do much on the outside. I think he may have had one dangerous cross that Podolski missed. The thing is, if Bennett is showing you up as an attacker then it really doesn't show much for your skill.

You are a factory of sadness.

That's a bit harsh, he scored in each of the 4 games he played after signing. He's just not scored in the last 5 games, which is more because the games have been tight - that's the one thing he needs to improve on, doesn't get many match-winners.

He certainly seemed to dramatically up his game around the time when negotiations were going on, and does somewhat seem to have been less impressive since, but perhaps that's circumstance and coincidence.

He'll probably bang in a few against us now.

I think it's fair to say that the game against Villa was anything but tight.

Queue another 'Ive long been a fan of [player x], thats why we are buying him now at a massive price, rather than the tiny amount we passed on several years ago' from fergie.
