He can be a tad over enthusiastic. Judging by that interview Fellaini left him with an impressive shiner as well.

There is not doubt he used to be filthy, but I think he has toned that down. As for the fouls on him, I'd say they are just that. There's just a perception that because of his size he should take more. That said, as with every player, he does get some weak calls. The penalty against Cheltenham was beyond poor.

I think it just looks a lot worse when a big player like Fellaini goes down under contact. Even a little guy like Michael Owen could stay on his feet under a lot of tackles if he wanted to, but if you go down it 'highlights' the foul, so to speak. As a lot of forwards would tell you, it's not a dive if there's contact. Drogba got an awful lot of stick for the same reason.

By the way, I'm not saying that Fellaini and Drogba don't go down too easily, only that they just stand out amongst the many others that do due to their size.

How do you know what was said in private? Wouldn't be private if everyone knew would it?
tbh, one could argue he didn't even sh*t on the club. He basically said he didn't agree with the direction of the club and that he won't extend his contract.

We can only judge on the facts. All that "they had a meeting, he demanded WC players" is all rumours. Funny how we all chose to believe rumours when it suits our agenda. But when rumours for instance are negative towards Wenger (like the whole not letting Bould manage the defence his way), we say its bollocks.

tbh, supposing those rumours are true, at least someone tried to force Wenger's hand into buying some damn players, because the board don't seem likely to.

Times saying United could be in for Valdes in the summer. That's Victor Valdes, the goalkeeper.

Didn't he get banned for headbutting Shawcross only about a month ago?

@The-Bodybuilder My point was if he wanted to leave as he wanted a new challenge, as those quotes on the last page suggest, then all he had to do was tell the club that in private and request they sell him to Utd or whoever.

The fact that he released that statement in the summer suggests he's just making bullshit up as he goes along. He's a snake and a cunt, albeit a very talented one.

Aye. Stupid. Apologised for it. I wouldn't classify that in the same area of filthy play. It was pure thuggery. Will see if he has learned from it, but so far he has been behaving very well.

Supposedly Yanga-M'Biwa didn't make it over for his medical.

How on earth does someone fail a medical that Ba, Owen, Smith and Remy have passed. You'd have to be a corpse.

I meant he failed to turn up, not failed the actual medical.

In addition, Remy didn't turn up to his medical, so I'm led to believe.

Haidara fee has been accepted from Newcastle. A more realistic target there

Most sources have/had him down as having the medical tomorrow. Wouldn't worry too much. It's not like he just didn't bother turning up.

Victor Valdes is actually not very good though so that story makes no sense. If Fergie was going to replace De Gea it definitely would not be with him.

    Whaaat

Playing for Barca helps to be honest, he doesn't get tested much but he's proved his quality on many occasions.

Not really, I've seen him have plenty of poor games. Certainly no better than De Gea and would suffer in the air just as much. Genuinely think De Gea will get at least another season minimum. I still think he'll be our long term goalie.

Realise lots of you disagree but Valdes definitely is not the answer and he definitely isn't better IMO. Were I even remotely inclined to be a betting man I would be inclined to put a sum of money on this particular transfer never ever happening.

Reckon Utd will replace DeGea with Begovich if they do. Lindegaard has impressed me though, surprised Ferguson never gives him a run of games. Always seems to drop him when he does nothing wrong.

Lindegaard is distinctly average, he has had poor games and is not capable of the kind of stops that De Gea is. He is perfectly fine backup but no more than that.

He seems to get a free pass from opposition fans and the media simply by virtue of not being De Gea, of whom everyone is massively over critical.

    Lindegaard has impressed you?

You're the only person I've ever head say that. Ever. He's distinctly average, the very definition of a 'back up' keeper. Peter Schmeichel called it the day he signed.

And lol at that Times article about Valdes. Someone got paid to write that. Actual, real monies in thier bank account. Staggering.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

Colin Murray has been dropped as MOTD2 presenter - off you go you big mouthed RS I quite like him

Being replaced by Mark Chapman however (as in 'Chappers', not John Lennon's killer), who I'm a big big fan of - Monday Night Club is a great show.

    Decision on Colocinni today apparently.

Cant help thinking that by the end of January, Colo will have gone, Arsenal will turn Yanga-Mbiwa's head and we'll sign this Haidara kid and maybe Gouffran.

Things couldnt be worse at the moment.

    "Look at banner Michael!"
