    I'm sure I read that Inter just benched him in September and he hasn't played for the first team since. Now he has the cheek to demand 240k a week.

    That must be close to what Ronaldo and Messi are on? Or am I being naive.

    Hah, there's more than a hint of bitterness there. Seem to remember Man U fans being desperate to sign him less than 3 years ago.

    Right, I'm from Leicester and therefore should be a Leicester city fan but I'm not. I have a friend on Facebook who is a derby fan and keeps calling Leicester a 'tin pot club'. What is this? Cheap club?

    Just means small club. Never won any proper trophies.

    Tends to be an expression real big clubs don't bother with if you want some ammo to go back with. It's a bit of a 'history fc' thing to say.

    To be fair, the Sneijder of today is very different to the one Utd fans were desperate to sign.

    It was summer 11.

    Not bitter about him not coming to United, as much as I' would've like him at the time, though I think he's got some front if it's true about him demanding in excess of £200k a week.

    He's in a wage dispute with Inter not unlike the one Rooney was in a few years back...

    Whoever gets him will in all likelihood get a bargain, and it'll be a coup. May even be United. It's obvious everyone's waiting until the last day for that one.

    Its a bit simpler than that. Leicester desperately want derby and forest to notice them and include them in the local rivalry, but neither set of fans can be arsed and generally ignore them.

    This means they have a massive inferiority complex so they overreact to the littlest things.

    Its a classic case of 'who the fuck are Leicester city?'.

    Derby have had a period of being properly big, but in recent history Leicester have probably spent more time in the top tier.

    Well, around the late 90s when they had MoN in charge they were a pretty consistent mid-table side and won a couple of League Cups as well. Again, I think I can understand why a 'modern football fan' might see Leicester as the bigger club. They've been higher profile in more recent years (not to mention currently doing very well).

    I wouldn't get too excited, the player himself has said in the past that he wants a Champions League club. This will probably start a bidding war and nothing else.

    As for Bent - very unlikely. The club have a policy of not buying players over 26 (Debuchy was the odd exception), he'd be on high wages, and he's too similar to Cisse. The club want a player who can play to the left of Cisse (Ben Arfa to the right), only playing in the centre when Cisse is out. He needs to have pace too. Ba was too similar to Cisse and that partnership never worked out, so they don't want to make the same mistake twice.

    Nervous about both positions to be honest. We're in real trouble if we don't get these two players in, especially if Cisse gets injured and we're left with Shola as our senior striker.

    This deal is far from finished, and getting a decent striker in won't be easy.
