I dunno, a footballer's 22 is more like the real world 12 imo

I'm convinced part of the problem I that Mancini is also a cunt.

Balotelli like Rooney are special cases. Everyone seems to forget that Rooney was a total knob on the pitch for years although admittedly he produced a lot more on the pitch too.

As a fan I think it's time for him to go on loan, maybe to Newcastle.

And I can't believe I'm saying this but if Chelsea want rid I'll take Lampard at City for the last couple of years of his career. Always hated playing against Chelsea when he was on the pitch because he always seemed to have a goal in him.

Rooney was a bit mad on the pitch but I dont remember him being as mental off it as Balotelli. The worst thing he done was shag a granny, he didnt fight at the training ground.

I may be wrong, my memory isnt what it used to be

It's not so much about memory or what's reported though is it? The only reason we're hearing about all these spats is because City haven't got their arse in gear and sorted out their training facilities.

Does anyone really think the Beckham boot incident was a one off? Everyone can see Fergie can lose it just as much as Mancini and for nothing to have happened behind closed doors during training in all that time seems highly unlikely.

I dunno, from all the responses by other professionals I get the impression training ground fights are ten a penny and they think the media are being super precious about them.

Got to bare in mind that footballers are generally massively competitive and egocentric, so they're probably human beings that are permanently on the verge of going postal anyway.

    Ha, look at his car.

Mancini is screwed either way. Balotelli is on wages nobody else would pay so they would likely sell him cheap and pay a slice of his wages for the next club to get rid of him.

Might as well keep him, don't think he ruins the team, does score goals and you can hook him when the red mist appears.

Doubt Mancini will be around to solve the problem anyway, just put it to the side.

    People seem to forget this.

Its pretty clear from the pictures of the bust-up that Mancini is the one whose gone storming in, waving his arms around and shouting "BAPA-DI-BOOPI!" all Italian-style.

Some people say he's a typical Italian : Passionate and eccentric.

    Personally, i think he's a minge.

Some decent insight into training there. Never thought about the training abroad aspect.

Looks like Chamakh has joined West Ham on loan. He's not a bad player imo, just didn't suit us. Has to mean we've got a striker lined up, surely?!

You only have to read about Mancini's behaviour during Italia 90 to see the similarities.

It was funny seeing Mancini off duty looking like he was an extra from Saturday Night Fever and Goodfellas. How typical can you be.

Not sure what WHU have seen in Chamakh, but happy for them to pay the useless sh*t's wages even if just for 6 months...

As for the 'striker' we have lined up, we may end up muddling through with Giroud and Theo as our CF's for the remainder of the season. Whilst Theo was innocuous up front against Southampton, that was down to a shoddy MF display from us, and I think he's done just enough to show that he can play in that CF role.

I would welcome another CF, of course, but it sounds as though Barca are blocking our efforts to sign Villa, and we'll have to wait it out till the summer.

    Why look, it's a blog:

I was faffing about with my fantasy team the other night - what the chuff has happened to Kagawa? He just falls off the chart early in the season.

Heh. Bet he knocks in a few with Big Sam's 'encouragement'. Might be a man-management issue rather than the player's skills.

Very good player, impressed me a lot when we played them. Be interesting to see where he plays....and who is shipped out.

If Spurs sign Holtby and we don't, there's something extremely fucked up with our transfer policy. Not that anybody thought any differently anyway.

And just seen it confirmed. Well that's a massive fuck up. That's up there with Mata that one.

Is Holtby really someone we actually need though? Good price yes but I think we already have quality in the same position.

Holtby is a very good player, although I'm sure Wenger would rightly point out that he has Cazorla starting and still has the likes of Ramsey and Eisfeld to develop.

And Wilshere to push forward in time too.

And Chamberlain, who AW has always said will play centrally.

No idea how good Holtby is, looked good against us in the CL though. Not the sort of player we need though. Squad needs some serious sorting out, would have been a nice signing if we didn't need other signings.

ITK (hoho) is that Villa might actually be on - due to Barca owing Arsenal money he can be had a reduced price. (I'd have thought a loan would be the ideal situation though...)
