A few people reporting that, if Bent plays one more game for Villa, it triggers a payment to Sunderland of 7m. Suddenly makes sense...

Reports today suggesting Newcastle may not get a much-needed centre back in this window and instead "focus" on getting a replacement for Ba instead.

It will be interesting to see what he does since his other half isnt your usual airheaded hanger-on, but an airhead with her own half decent meeja career.

Shes far too irish to work in america

I dunno, the yanks love an Irisher. Half of them are desperate for that identity.

Is Ashley Cole leaving end of the season as well?

I guess he won't remain great forever but must have a few top years in him.

Perhaps just Chelsea getting wages in order like pay Hazard the wages of two great players at your club.

    Debuchy confirmed.

    Thank the living Christ!

I was honestly expecting someone else to come in and pip us to him at the last minute - French international right-back for 5 million?, chuffed to bits.

Lets sing a song for Danny Simpson :

"OHHHHHHH Danny boyyyyyyyy............the pipes, the piiiiipes are calling...."

    "Look at banner Michael!"

As I said the other day, with financial fair play coming in, if you get lampard and cole off the wage bill, you get falcao and another decent left back with a bit of change.

    Its just basic business, sadly.

I dunno whats going on with Lampard. The last bit of news is that Terry has posted a pic of Lampard on instagram with the message
Devastated is an understatement. We should retire the number 8 shirt in honour of Lamps.
Which sounds like he is off

I can understand the argument that his high wages could be put to better use but I still think the team plays better when he is involved and his experience and goals from midfield can't be replaced, even this season he has something like 6 goals in 7 premier league starts.
I would be sad to see him go now when he is so close to becoming our highest ever goal scorer, as far as im concerned he is a legend and deserves another contract simply for all he has done for the club.

In the days of yore, you could maybe give contracts romantically but these days, when players are on several hundred thousand a week, you cant give someone an extension because they have previously been a 'good servant'.

Roman doesn't give a fuck what is good for the team and football. He'll do whatever he wants with his club, messing it up with his ego. The fans are plastic anyway, so who cares, eh?

    His one redeeming feature.

Joe Cole has definitley been signed for west ham then. I genuinely hope he does well in his last few years as he is a better player then his form has been showing over the last couple of years

Once again Mancini uses Balotellis age as an excuse. He is 22 which in my opinion (and the laws) means he is an adult man. It must come to a point sooner or later when Mancini realises that his attitude has nothing to do with his age, he is just a complete nutter.
