Rodgers would be better off going for Bendtner tbh (no joke).
    ROFLCOPTER!

oh wait. it wasn't a joke.
he's basically a bigger Di Santo but with a few more goals in him.
    only a few, mind.
I'm confused. Doesn't Di Santo score at all all season then?

Di Santo is a classic MOTD player - looks great in the highlights, but does fuck all the rest of the game.

Nope, on loan. There is option to buy but Juve are going to sign Llorente.

    No, they might sign him.

They're rumoured to have made a renewed bid.

Lewis Holtby's turned down a new contract at Schalke, expect to see him sign with a PL club soon.

FA have written to both Martinez and Redknapp about their post match comments regarding the referees.

Sooo, do what you like during the game but don't you say anything to those darn reporters or we'll start proceedings.

FA's hands were tied due to Dean not mentioning it I think, stupid but consistent with the rules.

Oh aye, it was Dean who bottled it on this occasion.

No one remembers his response to Rafa calling Everton a small club then?

He's either senile or a massive hypocrite. Still sets the news agenda every week though. Suppose the lazy journalists are to blame for that.

    I don't think it's either/or with Fergie anymore.

How has he escaped an FA charge this week? Anyone know?
Apparently because he didn't use abusive language to the ref. Also, he made his comments directly to the ref rather than in a tv interview. That's why Mancini and Redknapp are facing charges and he's not. When he criticised a ref for being overweight in an interview he got a 4 game touchline ban (2 suspended).

Personally, I think he's wrong on the point and that Cisse wasn't offside. For all the criticism he's getting though, he's hardly unique in moaning at/about refs, is he?

And Pardew's just made himself look like a twat.

Judging by recent trends, I'd say diving.

Don't be silly. There's even less chance of Utd beating Barcelona at that than in a football match.

Ashley Young's getting very good at hide and seek though.

    Enlighten me because I'm stupid:

Is Pardew a hypocrite for pointing out SAF's ref abuse if he has abused refs in the past but has owned up, apologized for it and has since been non-abusive towards officials?

Surely he'd only be a hypocrite if he ignored his own abuse of officials while pointing out SAF's?

    My favourite bit.

"He is the worst for haranguing referees. His whole staff, every game. He was at it the whole game on Wednesday. He forgets the help I gave him, by the way."

Sells us a couple of his cast offs and thinks we owe him.

Your club and City should be eternally grateful to Fergie, gave you the new and improved Alan Smith.

He's a hypocrite because he laughed it off as a joke and downplayed things when he shoved a linesman but now is getting all uppity about someone shouting at a ref.

Shoving a linesman is probably seen as being worse than shouting at one.

He's not being even remotely hypocritical. He expected and accepted his punishment and apologised straight away.

    He's actually being perfectly consistent.

Nothing hypocritical about Pardew. Fergie has zero grace, class or respect. He is, of course, very good at his job, and that is why he gets away with it. Seen it in workplaces outside football. Nothing new.

But to be honest, the real blame lies with the FA. Like any "boss" they should deal with the wanker, but they won't.

Horrible miss from Ade too. But yeah, christ knows how Sunderland are winning here. Plenty of time they'll pit 10 behind the ball and lose 3-1
