So apparently Abramovich has sent out an emergency call for Avram Grant to come and help out Benitez in some sort of technical football role.

The greatest minds in Hollywood couldn't come up with a better comedy than the one we're witnessing in West London at the moment.

Benitez and Grant on the touchline. You won't be able to see the supporters for all the badly drawn banners.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

I think, to be perfectly honest, after watching Man U on saturday, Arsenal would have been in exactly the same position last year, maybe even the year before had RVP been sold earlier.

His godlike skillz papered over a *lot* of cracks and I think its a worse loss than fabregas or nasri combined.

Its probably why fergie bought him. With RVP in your team, the rest can be as shit as they like.
Some will have you believe Van P wasn't as important as he was made out to be. Because as we can see now, he's stopped scoring at United, whilst we still have our free-flowing football.
As kalel said, I do think Wenger will leave at the end of this season. I just don't think he can give any more.

Ancelotti will be sacked. Maybe Roman can bring back all 3 for the maximum lulz.

Oh, and SS Germany reporting United have agreed a deal with Lewendowski. F*ck off United, you won't even let us replace Van Persie properly you coonts.

I listened to a few phone ins over the weekend and there is an absolutely shocking (although predictable) amount of chelsea fans clamouring for the following lolz:

    1) JT leader, legend, player manager

    2) The dream team of Dennis Wise and Ray Wilkins to come and rescue them

I would be delighted with either, to be honest.

Wilkins did a good job at Chelsea to be fair. Their recent troubles started with his sacking I think.

Bit worried they'll get Steve Clark in.

How you feeling about all things Chelsea then roz?
    A bit disconnected really.
I thought Di Matteo didn't deserve the sack, the run of results we had been on wasn't at all bad considering we were playing a new way and there were always going to be hiccups. I thought we were just a couple of half decent strikers and maybe a DM away from having a very competitive team.

Rafa has come in and basically undone the best thing about our attack by making it so the players are sticking to their positions. We are less likely to get caught on the counter attack but one of our strengths was the way our attacking players would swap around.

As long as he doesn't fuck us up too much before he leaves I will be happy.

    @The-Bodybuilder

TBH any deals for top class players should have been done in the summer, we are unlikely to attract any in January if we get a tough CL draw, and are still 10th in the league.

And then if we don't make the CL at the end of the season, the summer will be spent fending off people trying to buy Cazorla and Wilshire, and i doubt many top top quality players will be eyeing up a move to the Emirates.

Arteta might want to move back (up the table) to us. ;)

Though I wouldn't want him IF by some miracle we kept Fellaini. As the two together weren't working.

Fellaini wants CL football, so unlikely. Also I think you've hit your full squad compliment of 23 midfielders.

Yes, I can see how the short back-pass master that is Arteta wouldn't match the hoof beacon that is Fellaini.

You just wouldnt be able to help yourself. Even messi would hit them 80 yards up to him when he caught the afro out the corner of his eye.

Makes you wonder how columbia kept it on the deck when valderama was in his pomp.

It's the same with Crouch. You can understand it really. Put him in the Barca squad and they wouldn't be able to reist long-balling.

Slightly off topic but is there anywhere you can buy junior size football shirts (Villa in this case) with the sponsor on ?

    Um, not the Villa site?

If they don't do the junior size ones with sponsor (why wouldn't they?) then fakes will be your only option.

Nope all sites have them without, I guess it's to do with advertising a casino.

Have any links for fake sites ?

Tricky one. The guy is obviously a fantastic manager, but they seem to do slightly worse each season these days. Thought the summer buys this year would reverse the trend but so far it hasn't seemed to. Wenger wont carry on much longer anyway, so maybe it is the time to start considering other options.
Think we're suffering thus year from too much change to our attacking options, meaning they are taking time to gel properly. It will come imo, we just have to hang on in there till it does. Tough times for sure but it's do tight things can change quickly. As your results have shown.
Well, it's the same every season isn't it? You always lose a couple of key players.

I'm not saying disaster is imminent, and I've been saying you'd be mad to get rid of Wenger for years now, but I'm starting to wonderYou'll never do him the diservice of a mid-season sacking, but I really wouldn't be surprised if this was his last season.
I think the Arsenal fans are concerned because they're in a good position to kick on from, but every season their hold on the top four slots gets weaker.
This isn't a dig at Liverpool, but if you look at Liverpool now they're in mid table and they'll have a great deal of trouble attracting genuine top tier players to improve the squad and get them back where they (think they) belong.
Wenger is giving a strong impression of wilful blindness to the problems in his squad, and either he's refusing to spend the money available to him or someone's lying about the money available to him.

You can see why the fans might want to get someone else in before Wenger leads them off a cliff - the problem is who else would you get in?
You could take a chance on someone like Martinez, but what if it all goes horribly wrong?

Completely off topic, does anyone else think of Warren from 'Theres something about Mary' when Platini keeps wearing that call-centre headset?
