man, MoTD needs a reboot. Having Kompany being "bantered" by that twatasurus Hansen whilst twitchy was busy making his video CV was just shark-jumping.

Maybe the folks who rebooted Top Gear can do so with MoTD, keeping Lineker only.
As a Villa fan I found that whole segment a joke. The 5-0, considering the actual game, was a bit of an inaccurate representation of the game. The first goal was a lucky bundled goal off a set piece. The second goal was a questionable penalty, the third one was a bit harsh and the fourth one was an unlucky deflection. Hardly a commanding performance. Arguably we were pretty even in the first half, Villa had the better chances. It's after the questionable penalty that it all went wrong.

More important to schmooze Kompany I guess. He is a very good defender though.

I tend to Sky+ MOTD and if I'm at home I'll watch it when it's about 20 minutes in and I can fast forward past the punditry if I'm not in the mood for it.

Yeah, I usually do something similar but on this occasion I thought they might do some game analysis but instead they just had a Kompany love-in including some twitching.

I have a soft spot for martinez on motd, Harry and Kompany were duller than normal though.

    The bi-monthly MotD moan.

Let's all move on shall we? Or maybe create a MotD Moan group?

You can't moan that people are talking about something that often gets talked about here. This thread lives on a cycle of Spurs in crisis, Arsenal in crisis, Liverlols, FAN hates Newcastle and Racism is Bad.

But today I'll be talking about an exciting talent in the German league, a man with a name so bold and daring, he can never come to England to play football because the sheer Punnery in the papers and in the stands would crush him.

    I present...Fagner

    FAGner...geddit?

I bet Shearer would call him VAGner!

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

Feels like your average fan knows more about world football than people that are paid to talk about it. If it didn't happen in England none of them care. Even had Jamie Redknapp 'discovering' Ibrahimovic in his newspaper article the other day.

Anyone posted Gary Neville's article in the mail that's getting a lot of praise on twitter? Mostly him just blowing the load about Ronaldo but quite an interesting read.

There is always something worse and in the case of football highlights that's MotD2.

The first game Hazard Oscar and Mata played together (against Stoke) Lawro boldly announced they can't play together because they are all too similar and Barcelona only get away with it because "one of them is Lionel Messi" somehow managing to ignore many other teams including the Spanish National team which just won the Euros in a final where he was commentating. What a knob.

Goals on Sunday actually has better analysis

    Thanks guys, great article

As a Liverpool fan I am programmed to hate Neville but he is a breath of fresh air on sky sports. He isnt afraid to say what he feels and always backs it up with intelligent analysis

Yeah he's really been great, I've been very impressed.

Not to bring up the MOtD debate again, I think the amount of praise he gets also shows there is a market there for decent in-depth analysis.

So where is Beckham going to end up?

I'd love for us to try and sign him, but he's probably a bit old for our current transfer policy.

It would complete their geriatric midfield anyway.

You clearly haven't been watching us or simply have absolutely no idea what you are talking about if you think Chelsea's recent lack of wins is down to those midfield players not working together
