I don't really know what M'Vila's attitude problems are, but if Arsenal sign him I bet he'll be another want-away in a couple of seasons.

They've just gotten rid of the people who were having their head turned, don't start signing more players with bad attitudes now.

M'villa to arsenal is hotting up. 15 mill for song. 11 mill for a better DM. If he can curb his attitude probs would be a brilliant signing.
What makes you so sure he's a better DM?
He'll almost certainly be a better DM than Song, not sure if he'll be a better all-round midfielder though.

Hey, has anyone heard of a website called 'Twitter'? Various chinese whispers have concluded that we've agreed terms with Michael Owen.

On a brighter note, most are convinced that the young lad from Caen M'Baye Niang is also signing after a successful trial. Top top lad, triffic striker, always rated him, looks great in a cardigan in San Carlo.

Anyone else noticed that every footballer's name has an M' in there all of a sudden?

Reckon Baines will be leaving for Utd soon. Fair enough. Will mean we can invest a bit more.

Exactly. Almost as though it was bullshit from the start that United were looking to get a 27 year old in to replace a 31 year old, and that Everton valued him at £8m...

Didn't look like he had tbh, looked like an ankle sprain. He'll be back in a few weeks tops.

Oh God yeah, minimum. But didn't stop the Mirror and Mail/Metro running £8m stories. I'm valued at £8m in today's market and Baines is slightly better than me (only slightly).

    Rodgers promises more lols

Rodgers said: "There is a big job to do and we will have more days like this along the way.

"That is the reality of it. It is still a work in progress.

"There will be days along the way that will hurt and it will be difficult for us.

The main problem he'll have are the fans. Always thought Liverpool would eat him alive. Beast of a club.

Still, very early days, but that's the worst possible start. Could easily lose the next few as well and it'll be very hard to bounce back.

Liverpool's next 4 are City, Arsenal, Sunderland, Man U. A poor run through that and Rodgers will have The Best Fans In The World on his back very quickly.

our next few games are Stoke (A), Liverpool (A), Saints (H), City (A), Chelsea (H)

There's only one of those games you would bank on us winning comfortably.

And i bet Rodgers manages to pull a quick on on us somehow anyway.

I don't worry for Swansea at all.

Laudrup's time in Spain means he knows the market there and I'm sure he's picked up far better value players with good technique for his money than he would have got here.

He's already brought in four players and has hardly spent any money yet. If anything he'll probably end up with a stronger squad than last year.

Also the bulk of the Swansea team is still there and it's not like they will have forgotten how to pass the ball just because Rodgers has left.

I actually went to see them play Blackpool in a pre-season friendly about 2 weeks ago and yeah, i have no worries about them this season.

People keep saying "They've lost Caulker, Allen and Sigurdsson, so their screwed!" but, the fact is, Laudrup has replaced all three of them :

Chico Flores has taken Caulkers place and he looked very good. Similar to Williams, strong in the tackle and good in the air.

De Guzman has replaced Allen and he looks a similar player, gives 100% and always looking for a pass to open the game up.

Michu has replaced Sigurdsson and, even though it was only a pre-season friendly, he looks like twice the player. Taller than i expected, but great feet and an eye for goal - scored a strikers goal against Blackpool, despite being a midfielder.

Meanwhile, Laudrup has kept things pretty much the same. The Swans still play attractive, possession football but, if anything, Laudrup has made them more attack-minded - both the full-backs were instructed to bomb on when they had possession and it worked. They put four past Blackpool (who really aren't a bad side) and three past stuttgart.

The Swans will score more than they did last year, but they'll concede more too : in other words, take Vorm and Williams out of your fantasy sides and put Michu and Graham in!

    I fucking love quoting myself........

Got to admit, even as a NUFC fan, The Swans were awesome.

    "Look at banner Michael!"
