Coq gone. What a complete turnaround from a complete turnaround. Bit sad about that one tbh.

Can complain because we won’t use it to strengthen the squad.

Looks like we'll let Sanchez go if we can get Malcolm in as his replacement.

Pretty hard to get excited by a player called Malcom. Sounds like anti-virus software.

Walcott to Everton. Because if you can't get played as a centre forward under Wenger, you're totally going to under Allardyce.

Oh, he gave up on that sometime last year.

I hope he goes back to Saints. He deserves better than Allardyce. Good luck to him. He has his limitations, but can and has been effective. He'll do well in a team that is afforded some space in behind.

My mate had a shitty little dog called Malcom when we were growing up. It never stopped being funny.

Former Manchester United defender Phil Neville says if the club sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, 29, it would compare to the signing of Eric Cantona in 1992. (Sky Sports on Facebook)

I mean seriously have any of these people actually watched Sanche play? He’s good sure but he ain’t fucking Messi. There are already many other players better than him in the premiership. He shines in an arsenal team because he’s surrounded by shite

Does he play down the wings or in the middle?

So you don't think he'll maybe play Malcom in the Middle and maybe Lacazette just off him?

I actually think he will work better at Everton. Better team (and Fat Sam won't be there forever) and will be able to be in a counter team.

Southampton are struggling. Unlikely to get relegated, but it's a possibility, and I don't think he wants to be in a relegation scrap. Theo is clearly a creature of comfort, a steady and safe team with top 6 ambition is certainly gonna suit him than the risk of having to fight in a relegation scrap.

Honestly, it would be funny, but it's being done everywhere it's just hard to escape it.

@The-Bodybuilder he still has family and friends in Southampton and would be moving closer to them rather than the other end of the country.

I thought Martial was supposed to be the world class signing.

Isn't shining in shit team a good thing? Isn't the complaint usually that, like Lampard for example, they look like world beaters playing for a Chelsea but can barely cross into the same postcode when they run out for England?

Everton would probably match his wages though, I doubt we would.

Quite like the idea of him coming back but can't help but feel he isn't what we need.

Last I read they wouldn't let him go for less than 30 mil. Even if he was worth that Saints are never paying that for him.

Bertrand wants to leave apparently which could be an issue as Targett is out on loan and McQueen is also on his way allegedly.

Looks like there may be some truth about our interest in Sanchez judging from our press conference today, still think he will go to city though.

It really is. Usually I can read the football stuff with a bit of detachment, for good or ill, but this one really hits hard
