    That wasn't a thief joke.

Although I now have an open goal for a persecution complex one.

I thought he was mocking the lack of trophies? Not making a commentary on the state of the northern powerhouse project.

You just know he's that overly aggressive player in his Sunday league.

There is a certain irony to every single remark about a victim or persecution complex being seen as a Hillsborough reference…

The problem with having a massive injustice done to you (which Hillsborough clearly was one of the worst) is that it does indeed tend to give you a bit of a victim complex, and understandably so. It’s a nasty vicious cycle to get into though.

It's been passed down almost memetically too to people who weren't even around for it or understand why they have to feel the need to act like the world's against them. It's strange.

Jokes about dead people not OK, jokes about under performing for nearly three decades yet still having a big club mentality and blindly defending bitey racists OK.

I know a few fans that have nothing to do with the City of Liverpool and started supporting Liverpool round the Robbie Fowler era. All get antsy about Hillsborough. It's weird. Not saying Higgy is one of those people but they're certainly out there. Like, they carry the burden.

I think it's fair enough. You don't have been there or even even alive at the time to have suffered the implications of that event. Liverpool fans have only very recently proven it wasn't their fault, and all fans were tarred with that brush whether they were there at the time or not. The wounds of these events are extremely deep and affect a culture, not just individuals.

Yeah, well put. For what it's worth I still struggle to fathom the severity of it.

On a purely footballing subject, and not being a fan of Man utd(but quite lilking them), it seems to me that though mkhikatran is a good player, they tend to play worse and get less positive results when he plays

It's 3 wins and draw with him starting every one of those games this season.

If that trend continues for the rest of the season we'll finish with 94 points.

He was brilliant at Dortmund, its a real shame its taken so long to integrate him into the United team when he should have been setting the place alight since his move

He loves a nutmeg which does mean he loses possesion a bit too much, but he's generally trying it in an area where when it comes off creates a clear chance.

5 assists at this stage of the season is a pretty mental stat, too.

    Haha quality.

Yeah Mhiki has been one of our best players this year. One of the few that is genuinely creative.

Say what you like about Woy, but he's got more about him than Gareth ruddy Southgate.

Southgate is a massive personality vacuum, and seems a yes man too.

Think we should give it to a job stealing foreigner again. But the media will be 10x as harsh with England if we do.
