Not saying you're wrong, just saying you took it as a fact. May well be true.

Do agree that if it is around that then it is a crazy wage. But these be crazy money times and Utd can afford it.

But I thought they were pauper underdogs struggling TL offer the crazy wages the likes of only City and Chelsea could do?

Utd are self sufficient and can pay whatever they want. Bit rich (no pun intended) for Mourinho to say what he's said considering his shitty club played a big part in causing this massive wage inflation in the first place.

Utd played their part too, certainly before the other two turned up. But yeah Jose is a hypocrite, but he knows that. Just trolling.

Utd were the 1st to up wages by a massive amount. This seems like peanuts now but when they offered keane 50k a week, everyone went mad

    Precisely.

Saying United are 'self-sufficient' rather ignores how CL money, sponsorships and overseas merchandising has distorted finances in football to be a top-heavy system.

He's supposedly a bit of a beast in training which explains why he's conned 2 managers on the bounce into a spot in the team. Hopefully van Gaal realises a bit quicker than Moyes that he's utter garbage in match trim.

We've played alright tonight, score is flattering at the moment though.. Roma had the upperhand in the first half until we score three quick goals.

    Second half has been dire.

The Mourinho stuff about Shaw is sour grapes.

Chelsea apparently tried to hijack the deal hours before it was finalised.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

I don't think they were ever in for him. He's a lifelong Chelsea fan and has been quoted several times saying he would love to play for them. If they were genuinely interested then he would have ended up there IMO.

"In fact, Chelsea were still in the hunt for Shaw on the day that United announced they had got their man and tried desperately to get the young England left-back to change his mind.

A senior source close to the deal confirmed to Sportsmail: ‘They (Chelsea) pushed, very hard. Even up to the final hour.’"

And to Bradley Wright-Philips too! Can't say I pay much attention to pre-season games.

Bizarrely and yet somehow interestingly it sounds like we're trying to sign Shawcross.

Fair enough to him! Still annoyed that I turned it off because the last fifteen minutes were pretty good apparently.

Like LVG's comment about whether he thought Amos should have done better for Pjanic's goal: "I am nearly 63 years old and I run when the ball is in the air for four seconds when it flies from 50 metres."
