Looking forward to the new season. Hope Liverpool be still destroying other teams despite Suarez going. Also got some more Champions League action to look forward to besides.

    Its gonna be a cracker.

Statistically, Liverpool have won more games in the past 3 years without Suarez in the team. Who'd a funk it?
  • Deleted user 18 July 2014 14:12:33
He wasn't there for three years.

That Stat about him missing 48 games without having been sent off is remarkable.

The point I was trying to make is, Liverpool have so far coped quite well without him, with a weaker team than they'll have this coming season.

It's a far point that they have coped without him, though against who might be a question. Tends to go mental in big games, so isn't really missing them per se. Still, they do perform.

Liverpool well do well this season. They have their dreams and their messanism complex to get them through too. Not to mention the carrot cake.

If we get into the top 4 this season, it will be a much bigger accomplishment than last season all things considered.

Fourth richest club in the country coming fourth doesn't sound like a particularly big achievement to me.

Are we not 5th richest? (Not that I disagree with your sentiment).

Only Chelsea, City and United are richer.

Liverpool and United are massive underdogs this year and it will be a massive achievement for either them to get in the top 4.

Cos they have hardly spent any money, and have tiny little stadiums stadiums etc.

Lest we forget the little horse.

Actually I was more getting at the fact we've lost our best player and other squads around us have added much better players than we have so far.

    Yeah fair point.

Although I'd still argue teams like Utd and Liverpool should be expecting to finish in the top 4 every year, with the resources and fan base that they have.

Liverpool should have been consistently hitting fourth for the last decade or so. It's incompetence that has meant they haven't. They've splashed the cash. Brent's got things together now though and they should be maintaining CL.

    and Arsenal...

Not denying that league position correlates with wage bill though.

No doubt, but it's all about buying the right players, we've had much more flops than Utd have had in the past few seasons.

2014 and football clubs still don't measure bodyfat percentages?

Crazy to think Lallana cost Liverpool 25 million and Toni Kroos cost Real 24 million. All whats wrong with the transfer market for English players.

Kroos had 1 year left on his contract. I'm guessing Lallana had more than one year left.

Still lallana over valued by at least 10 million. Typical of over priced english players.
