I know. In a season where the manager has tried to shift away from that image it's as if the fans have purposefully gone for the dirtiest tackler there as some sort of  statement.

You'll appreciate him more when he's playing central midfield for Manchester United next year.

Hope Meyler is suspended for the FA Cup final after that horrible stamp on Januzaj. Absolute filth. https://vine.co/v/M6gvBjYiYaF

RvP "trust me, we will be back next year. Trust me. Save this interview".

Said with a whopping great smile on his face.

As if we didn't know already, that's van Gaal confirmed.

Nasty, he properly left his foot in there.

I had a really quick look on Twitter last night, and from what I could tell none of the Hull fans were defending him. At the very least, they were calling him an idiot for most likely taking himself out of the cup final. So that's reassuring, at least, in light of Charlie Adam being co-winner of Stoke's supporters club player of the year (with Begovic).

Aren't they supposed to announce it today? I thought the 7th was the deadline given by Van Gaal?

Van Gaal seems like a pretty nasty piece of work, and his second stint at Barca was hardly star studded. He might be a "big name", but I don't think he's going to necessarily bring you immediate success. One things is for sure, he will put plenty of noses out of joint, and spend plenty of money. Also, Patrick Kluivert - I guess he and Van Persie have a few things in common (I hear Ched Evans might be available on a free when he's released, if you want to go for a trio)

@mcmonkeyplc Ogden from the telegraph just tweeted it wont be this week. He is about as close to a news mouthpiece as we have so i would be inclined to believe it. He said no drama the club just wants the season finished first

Nothing is going to be announced this week according to a club spokesperson.

    So it's Mourinho! :p

So... tonight is JUDGEMENT NIGHT. I'm pretty excited to finally see how it's going to unfold though I get the distinct impression that for most, it's a foregone conclusion.

I'm not saying City won't get the easy win most are expecting, but I've see enough foregone conclusions go up in flames in the final weeks of the season to not totally rule out a little twist in the tale. I'm going to go with my gut and say a 0-1 shocker. Predictions?

I kind of want Liverpool to be given some hope, just for it to be wrenched away again.

A win and a draw would be perfect, as it'd mean that Gerrard slip was important.

City will in all probability make hard work of it. Again.

I have a feeling it will come down to GD again in the end, but not be quite as dramatic as last time it was decided that way.

You'll probably hate them more when he inevitably becomes manager after Mourinho.

It's Chelsea. One vile cunt retires and two more spring up in his place.

Christ, they've even managed to turn the previously likable Eto'o into a complete twat this season.

I'm actually trying to think of a current Chelsea player that isn't a twat.

    ......Nope, can't think of any.

Dave. Also IMO Cahill, Cech, Ivanovic, Lampard, Matic, Oscar, Schurrle, Salah etc.... but then I am more than a little biased.

Looking forward to the game tonight, I want City to win it (sorry Liverpool fans) but can't help but feel a lot of people are underestimating both Villa and West Ham.

Villa have a fantastic record against the top 4.

Yay! Another post about Liverpool to add to your count. Congrats, it's way more than mine.
