A year ago you were calling for Wenger's head for 4th place.
I've seen what happened to man utd and I've come to my senses.

    That's the honest truth.

Maybe we could do better but we sure as he'll could do a hell of a lot worse so I no longer want to think about it.

Should add that this is compounded by the fact I thought Moyes would be a good replacement for Wenger a year ago

    LOL!
    And quite right too.

Although that said, given your relative positions earlier this season, if Liverpool do end up finishing above you I think that would be a considerable failure for you.

I don't understand why it's not a police matter when players and managers assault each other. Why does it being in the context of a football game change anything? It has nothing to do with the rules of the game and is equally illegal. Not only that, but there's thousands of witnesses and filmed evidence.
The first thing that came to my mind yesterday when people were speculating on punishment was Duncan Ferguson's spell in Barlinnie.

Nothing like as serious of course, but there's plenty of precedent to press charges.

You could always phone the police and ask him to be arrested under public order.

Isn't that what happened to JT?

    Urgh

Doesn't quite beat the time Kevin Davies dislocated his finger and had it put back in position at the touchline. Brutal.

I think the importance of the captaincy is somewhat overstated, especially at international level so it is more of a personality contest.

And, having met Sol Campbell, he seemed like a sufficiently thick bastard to not even be able to work out how to put the captains armband on.

Some might suggest if he really thought this was an issue perhaps he'd have bought it up before, and not in the week of the launch of his new book.

My Mrs served Sol Campbell cheese at the cheese counter in Waitrose when she was at school in Hertfordshire

Apparently he was rude, and didn't say please or thank you.

He did play for spurs at the time so guess that figures.

So. An extra Europa place up for scrapping it would seem?

Considering Man Utd are on a bit of a rebuild, that could be a bit of a curse. Nothing like Thursday night games to screw your weekend preparation and sew inconsistency into your form.

Only goes to 7th if the FA Cup winners and runners up have both qualified already, so the final would need to be Citeh vs Arsenal/Everton.

FA Cup runners up qualify if the winners have qualified for the CL.

Hmmm, that was a foul by Benteke.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

@Blakester nah. Standard stuff. If that was a foul then agbonlahor should have had a pen earlier.

Currently top 6 get into Europe.

If the FA Cup final ends up being two teams in the top 6 (Man City vs Arsenal/Everton is currently possible) then 7th in the League will get a place in the Europa League 3rd qualifying round.
Kinda reinforces the Capital Cup's status as 'utterly pointless competition used as a sponsor grab'.
    How does it?

You tell me Sunderland fans making their way up north as we speak that the league cup is pointless.
