I didn't realise your ticket was suspended though. That's bang out of order, and far worse than anything else I've seen.
If you default on a payment that has been agreed surely they're well within their rights to suspend it?

If you didn't pay for the Sociedad group game back in October your ticket would've been suspended for the Stoke game the following weekend. That's always been the condition. United have really shot themselves in the foot by bringing attention to it though it seems.
The policy in general is bang out of order is what I mean. A season ticket should,  as a bare minimum, allow you to attend all league games which is what you're actually paying for,  presumably?

Does anyone know another club that has a policy like that?  Seems crazy to me.

If you honestly believe that some of the top players out there wouldn't want to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world in front of 70,000 people every week, or that not one of the top managers in the game would jump at the chance to take the reins at the club on the back of a bad 6 months, then you're completely off your head.
If it's just a bad 6 months, you will be right. I honestly think that not qualifying for the champions league is going to have a massive effect. Who would want to join the moyes revolution next year if you only have 2 top (ish) players and no champions league football?

Hehe, not sure where he got the 10% from but it's defo more than that. Comes across totally bitter, delusional and takes no responsibility for any of the terrible decisions he's made during his time. I can sense an asset strip coming in the near future if he doesn't get his way.

Yeah it's really worth setting aside 20-odd minutes to sit and read it. Had never heard of the guy. Fascinating, and obviously incredibly sad, story.

Man Utd will indeed struggle to attract the top players next year if they don't let Moyes go. He's the archetypal small/medium club manager dropped into a big club, just like Hodgson was a few years ago. If he remains, top talent will look at their performances this year and shudder. United need a massive overhaul, and they need somebody at the helm prospective signings can believe in. Say, for example, they brought in someone like Klopp in the close season, then they'll be able to draw in top talent despite the lack of CL, and will be a threat next year. If they stubbornly stick with Moyes, they'll not get the best talent and will have to pay huge wages to those who do come to sweeten the deal.

Klopp is a good manager but I do think he's very overrated especially over here in England.

When was Hodgson dropped into a big club?

Although I did genuinely mean Milan (the Inter variety - are AC known as 'Milan' then? I just always call them both Milan without really thinking about it), I guess Liverpool was the correct answer.

I think Roy deserved his chances though. He's done exceptionally well almost everywhere he has managed. Moyes...still think he'll come good. Whether Utd want to give him that faith is another matter, but I think he'd come good.
  • Deleted user 28 February 2014 19:40:32
Yes, AC are Milan, Inter are Inter.

Indeed, not to be confused with Internacional of Brazil.

Didn't know that. I either call them 'Inter' and 'AC' or just refer to either as Milan.

Got to feel sorry for Moyes if Utd force him out. He is going to be a ruined man, and not so long ago he was very well respected and seen as a good manager. He will be ruined by this episode and really looking back he cannot reassure himself because he has not won anything and his successor at Everton is doing just as good. He will not have the confidence to go back into management even if he could

I think Roy deserved his chances though
It didn't take long for the Liverpool crowd to realise he was wrong for the club, and I think the same would've happened before now for Moyes if Ferguson hadn't instructed the fans to back him come what may. With Hodgson at Liverpool, it wasn't so much the style of play he employed, it was the clear lack of focus and effort from the team, coupled with a fine line in excuses and bluster in post match interviews. The best managers inspire belief and determination in their players, and it's clear Hodgson and now Moyes utterly failed in that regard.
