10 of us in the league, and the loser every season has to pay for a night out for all the rest of the league - drinks, booze, and whatever "event" we are doing of the losers choosing. You also have to go to the bar all night for everyone and do everything (basically a slave).

Comes to about 800 quid ish per year. I lost once (When Suarez couldn't score goals and all loller did was hit the post all season, and when Bent turned total shit). I do not want to lose again, ever.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

Did you end up sleeping with a [REDACTED]?

    Was it banter?

Oh good, maybe it wasn't me after all. I am pretty sure I jinxed Fonte though; I might have got away with just Luke Shaw but putting them both in my team was just mean to Southampton.

I definitely didn't jinx West Brom though; transferring in two West Brom defenders was idiotic from the beginning.

It's ok. Fonte was me too.

How come Fonte is now bench warming? Does anyone know if it is due to an injury or is he now just out of favour?

I bet none of these players dips in form has got anything to do with any of you putting them in your fantasy football teams. I bet you.

    Called it

Na, I imagine they all check if the percentage of teams they're in has gone up or down on a Friday night and decide to be shit or not, the bastards.

He's struggling with a minor injury, definitely still first choice when fit.

Cheers. Plus they have been shedding goals since around the time he went out, right?

I find with FF, don't waste money on the bench. Put all your money on a first 11 that will pay every week.

    Here's my team now:-

    Mignolet

    Coleman
    Baker
    Rosenior

    Nasri
    Y. Toure
    Barkley
    Ozil

    Giroud
    Suarez
    Negredo

Bench of Boruc, Turner, Vlaar and Ward-Prowse. Had Suarez as Captain since he started back and not looked back.

Barkley's been turning in excellent performances that don't equate to points in FF. Also even the 'guaranteed starters' aren't guaranteed to start, especially at this time of year with fixture congestion and fatigue accumulating. You want to try to find cheap bench players who are likely to get a game, in case one or two of your better mans get rested.

We had a few bad games but only conceding one against City and Newcastle wasn't bad considering.

Hard to know really. If Spurs aren't looking any more dangerous tonight then he could be a good shout.

Pffft, amateurs. Look at you all, actually changing your teams.

I do it the way you're meant to: Pick amazing but injury prone players, forget you've even signed up to do a FF, then wonder why you don't have any points when your mates remind you at the end of the season.
This is how the game should be played, none of this players on the bench, transfers and extra points for captains rubbish. Pick 11 players at the start of the year and it's done, no need to mess around actually paying attention to who's playing well (unless you picked all the right people at the start of the year, in which case you boast).

Doesn't seem that long ago that I was huddled around a copy of 90 Minutes at school haggling for Tony Yeboah and Alan Shearer. I remember picking up Andy Impey for free toward the end of one season and him basically winning it for me single handedly. Four substitutes all season those days.

There was a moment last night when Sherwood pirouetted on his heel to berate the fourth official & Big Sam shouted,......"You're getting the hang of it" before laughing uproariously.

    :D

Is Sherwood a bit of an arsehole? It's probably not fair to judge him too much on snippets of interviews but he's coming across as a bit...overly.

How does Adebayor get a game after he publicly celebrated Spurs getting a thrashing? Unless Assou-Ekotto used an unrelated photo out of context. And playing 4-4-2 with the kind of players Spurs have is odd.

That Telegraph article about the behind the scenes trouble at Tottenham does not portray Levy in a very good light at all.

    Spurslol in conclusion.

    @MrFlay
I was thinking that myself about Ade being selected. Doesn't look good on Sherwood either.

He's not exactly new though. He's one of Levy's cronies and has been at the club for years now.

He is free to pick who he wants, I just don't think that sends a very good message. They shouldn't find any humour in their team losing 5-0, especially at home in front of their fans. Its disrespectful to the club. In fact, the fucker should've been fined.
