Imagining Arsene in a "Free the Uruguyan one" t shirt

All that "Oh-eh calm down he's worth 50 million at least this is insulting la" talk doesn't seem quite so ridiculous now.
Yup, really doesn't, and neither does Arsenal's desire to get him (although wouldn't have got Ozil...).

I don't get Arsenal. They get Flamini back and Ozil in, and the former is good whilst the latter is obviously world class, but as a whole the entire team seems to have gone 'click' and BAM. It's funny seeing the usual idiots on BBC talk about Arsenal's 'new team', when it's pretty much the exact same team as before, but they're right in the sense it might as well be a new team, for the difference. Just what has happened to them?!

Sparrows, I think what happened to them is that their morale was poor because of their perception as a selling club and an "always the bridesmaid, never the bride, champs league qualification is just like winning the league" club.
Getting Ozil has made them believe in themselves again. Or their decent start has. Or both. Or I've got no idea what I'm talking about - but I am pretty sure it's a self-belief thing.

Also someone appears to have swapped Mertesacker with an identical replica who is good at defending.

Or else they're just flattering to deceive, and they won't win a single game in February.

Well, it only took half an hour for my prediction to look completely daft.

    Suarez murdering Norwich as usual.
Bookies will stop taking bets on him scoring hat-tricks against Norwich.
Still, he might actually be doing the fans a favour if Hughton goes.
    Suarez the samaritan...

At the moment they're in Man Utd mode - they just win. Arsenal haven't done that for years, and the changes don't seem big enough (unless I'm really underestimating Ozil's impact).

Every goal from Suarez there was absolutely top fucking drawer!

If he does go in the summer then how could we(Liverpool) not get a world record deal for him?

Because he's still a potential liability, with a hair-trigger, a history of biting people, a history of agitating for moves and being mardy if he doesn't get them, and all the PR sense of a rabid stoat.

When "he hasn't been banned for a whole 12 matches and it's been a while since he's slagged off his host country, his club, or his team mates" is a noteworthy improvement, you have to think that major clubs with sponsorship deals to protect are going to be wary.

Tottenham getting a world record fee for Bale and then signing up half a dozen new players hasn't worked out as well as they would have liked. Suarez fits in alongside Bale in the irreplaceable category IMO.
This is why I think no to AVB going. It'd take at least a season for that much change to start gelling.

The commentators on BT Sport seem to think Shelvey is good, and I suppose Laudrup must too since he's playing, but... isn't he a bit rubbish, really?
He just scored a goal to spite me. I still don't think he's much cop.

It won't happen. As much as I like the guy and want him to succeed it just isn't happening. I don't want to see us sack him and start again, we need to give him more time time. Don't see it happening though. If it doesn't we better have a plan
