Just saying on at least the last three to four occassions arsenal went to old trafford and got dominated. Man Utd won this game from a corner that RVP got a good shoulder connection to and otherwise it was pretty even.

Hence the Man U decline from last season and the arsenal improvement comment

I think you will fin in the top 4 as it goes

    1: Chelcunts
    2: us
    3: LFC
    4: Manu.
I'm not really gloating to be honest, I'm just speaking the truth. Arsenal have been awesome this season. Real title contenders and they've been ripping teams apart on a whim. We had a game plan today and it paid off. We're generally quite good at hassling and stifling Arsenal, especially at home and that's what we did after we scored. When Vidic went off injured at HT we had to change up that plan a bit and it made the 2nd half an uglier game, but it was a solid performance overall. People who were expecting another 8-2 or whatever are just being silly, this game was always going to be decided by the odd goal. But this doesn't really surprise me as this thread gets worse than RAWK whenever we win a big game.

On another note, this is the first time in a long time I was genuinely nervous going into a game against Arsenal. They've been brilliant all season and I'm glad to see them back as real contenders. Always been my favourite rivalry.

Did Robin van Persie celebrate respectfully or cheered like all his time at Arsenal was nothing but a distance memory?

He celebrated like a man who'd just been rescued from a Taiwanese buggery pit.

He celebrated a goal like a player who just scored a goal in a big game should celebrate a goal. Fuck this not celebrating shit.

Or celebrated like a plater who's ex manager said in press he is still an Arsenal player.

First time I was nervous against Arsenal in years. Says it all.

That made me laugh out loud!

    : )

I guess he decided to go with the 'I am a cunt' celebration then.

Is that better than a Korean buggery pit?

You are a factory of sadness.

Last season: "Up steps Van Persie to smash the ball into the corner past Szczesny. No celebration from the former Arsenal favourite."

It's good sortsmanship to be respectful the season after you join another club. But after that you're free to go full-Adebayor!

I don't care what anybody says, but that right there is the best celebration ever!

... I could not believe just how fast he sprinted down to the other side of the pitch.

    Oh, that was great.

So Moyes refers to Rooney as RvP's sidekick. That'll go down well.

Does this mean that m utd are better than Dortmund?

I guess the problem arises when Rooney isn't playing against teams that he is trying out for...

The reaction of the crowd indicates that as well, some degree of relief. If we'd played like this almost any time in the last 10 years, we'd have been well and truly humped.
Anxious crowd cheering the team on holding a slim lead in last 10 mins of the game shocker. Any other club's supporters does the exact same thing in that situation. It was a big game against the best team in the country at the minute, with us aiming to claim 3 points to capitalise on other teams dropping points this weekend and move up places in the league. I think it was justified to feel nervous when Arsenal easily could have got a result based off their performance.

I'm a bit curious on how people see the league right now. Because the top of the league is fairly open at the minute, is it because of the big clubs dropping silly points or 'smaller' clubs setting a higher standard than usual?
