Yeah but you're usually down on everyone. You also thought Ramsey was rubbish too. :p
I said Ramsey needed to go out on loan as his confidence was fucked and we couldn't afford to carry him nor was it doing him any good. Still stand by that view. Obviously bloody brilliant now though.

With Ramsey you could see he had talent, with Ryo I just don't see it.

And even though it won't be happening again for another while yet (barring cups), it's got to be Rangers-Celtic. Surely it's not even up for debate.

@TheSaint Probably on par with Rangers/Celtic but nothing else is even close.

I just don't really think anyone can gauge the hatred of other clubs derbies.

    Pompey/Spurs

^^ Eh, wtf. I meant Saints, heh. Though there was some discontent when Redknapp left one for the other.

I can't really imagine what it must be like playing your rivals every season. Since the early eighties we've only had eight league games against Pompey.

According to Danny Dyer Chelsea have a big rivalry with Millwall but I can only remember us playing them once in the last 20 years or so

It's quite funny when you play teams who think they have a rivalry against you but you couldn't really care either way. Bournemouth, Reading and Brighton really seem to hate us for some reason but I had no idea until we started playing them.

Any West Ham fans I speak to have nothing but hatred for Spurs. I never realised how much they despised us. I guess it's because we have the Arsenal and Chelsea rivalries too in the PL

London rivalries are a bit random. Palace / Brighton has always been a bit of a strange one.

Rangers Celtic is surely the worst in Britain, certainly in terms of violence anyway. I went to Ajax PSV a few years ago and that was pretty intense!

They are to us what we are to Chelsea in some ways. The lower team think there's a big rivalry, but the better team doesn't really notice.

And they are all big gay hugging parties compared to the Turkish rivalries, which are in turn nothing compared to South American ones.

I have a mate who is a hammer. He absolutely detests spurs, but I think even he would admit there's no real rivalry there.

Probably true, although I know a few Chelsea fans and they love to get one over on Spurs. So there is some sort of rivalry there, but you are probably right that we think it's bigger than it actually is.

Speaking of rivalries, strange thing is in recent years I've not really had the dislike I used to have for Arsenal. I think that as we are now competing at a similar level (i.e. have the same targets in the league) and run in similar ways, I actually kind of respect them. We are together in our fight against the oil rich clubs :)

    Feels weird.

If there's one thing that Tuesday's game reminded me, was that i fucking hate chelsea and their fucking scummy, chavvy bald tattooed wanker fans

Had to spend the entire journey home listening to a group of them chant some crap about Wenger touches boys

It actually then occured to me that i dislike them more than any other club in the world

I have different kinds of hatred. My Arsenal one is knowingly irrational, and it's a rivalry I actually quite enjoy. I wouldn't call it a friendly rivalry, but it's relatively respectful, although still very passionate when it comes to the derbies.

Whereas Chelsea I hate because they are a bunch of small-time racist cunts with a rich owner who have ruined football for everyone.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I still hate to lose to Arsenal more than any other team. But a respectful rivalry sounds about right.

I think most fans other than Chelsea's feel that way about them.

That said, if Chelsea play Arsenal I generally want Chelsea to win, so I guess Arsenal are still number 1 on my list.

West Ham Millwall comes pretty damn close.

But as others say, Chelsea is the only club I really detest. Utterly classless club with little redeeming features beyond the likable Mata. Everything from the scummy racist fans, to the scummy racist captain (still my most disliked player of all time) and their scummy and probably racist owner (he is s Russian, lol) and their generally scummy current manager.

Even their stadium is scummy and ugly. So too their football philosophy.
