Want to see this on MOTD from BBC website

"Much relief at White Hart Lane as Andros Townsend emerges on his feet, bandaged up but seemingly OK, and he's soon back on the pitch. He kicked the photographer in the face as he cartwheeled over the boards."

Was really hoping for a draw. Chelsea now getting into the swing of things, whilst having very few top notch performances.

Spurs GD may come back to haunt them if this continues.

So how bad was the atmosphere at WHL? AVB has a real go at the home fans in his BBC interview.
  • Deleted user 27 October 2013 20:31:28
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas: “We didn’t have the support we should have done. There was much anxiety from the stands, the players had to do it alone. We looked like the away team, we played in a difficult atmosphere with almost no support. We have a wonderful set of fans but they can do better. Away from home we play with no fear and we need that atmosphere at White Hart Lane. We don’t need the negativity that was in White Hart Lane today.”

Well what does he expect when he spends £100m+ and then can only beat a massively depleted Hull with a very scrawpy late penalty?

To be honest he has a point. There been a topic on our home support in the last couple of years and how bad its been getting on the spurs forum i go on. So in that sense he been vindicated. Its whether it washes with the general fanbase who don't partake in internet discussions. They have a reason to turn on him now.

We have had great support in the past, if it wasn;t for our fans, the likes of ginola, klinsmann, etc wouldn't have such an obvious attachment and love for our great club.

I guess we been spoilt in the last 8 odd years or so. Now slowly into worse versions of fucking liverpool fans.

Apparently it came from the players as well, and he spoke on there behalf. Sigh.

It's the same at all clubs. As soon as the fans develop a sense of entitlement the atmosphere goes to shit. A stadium full of people sitting there waiting to win doesn't make a great noise.

Makes me think of Galdiator every time a top 6 team scores at home. The noise isn't joyful release, it's relief that their expectations are being fulfilled.

Not as many as i like. I live in the far west of cornwall, with ticket prices, getting there, place to stay etc , no, not that many i'm afraid. I wish i could though.

Therefore i;m not that qualified to make such an assertive statement on it, but it a topic raised by people on the SC community.
