Where has it gone wrong for Manchester United and David Moyes?

edit: Worth pointing out that that's written by a United fan.

But the club considered its principal summer coup to be keeping Wayne Rooney,
From what I saw on Saturday this is definitely true. He was there best player by miles.

Walking away from the ground a lot of United fans were having a good moan about Moyes and his negative subs. Saying that a fair few were also doing the very un-united thing of slagging of Welshit so they may be the minority.

As a Utd fan, one that's not all doom and gloom as other Utd fans appear to be, I think that article is a fair appraisal. But for all the discussion on it and the column inches dedicated on the subject, he just needs more time. It is absurd that needs to be reiterated after 8 games into the season.

Ollie's got the boot. I hope Palace get the record for lowest ever points total (come on, Sunderland).

Don't worry. Palace will be infinitely worse without him there.

BBC are speculating that he's quitting rather than being sacked.

In other news, there was a tweet to crown all BBC Mong Tweets the other day - some guy saying Poyet should be sacked.

45 minutes in to his first game.

The lunacy of football has gone too far. Please, kill it or let me escape it.

It wouldn't surprise if he came out and said he was struggling to cope, as a high-functioning bipolar disorder sufferer.

Technically, TECHNICALLY, he quit. He offered his resignation after they were pumped by fulham and they accepted.

That'd be hilarious. Can't see him coming near the Premier League again though.

I'm thinking Pulis or Di Matteo, depends if that have any cash to spend. Moyes might need a new job soon?

Its a weird one. I dont think theres a single palace (non-crank) fan who wanted him out.

Football fans are quite pragmatic about getting relegated these days.

I was sat a few tables down from Holloway and his wife in a restaurant a few weeks ago. The place was practically empty because it was early, there were maybe 3 or 4 other diners and I assumed he went at that time to avoid the crowds. At one point someone let out the dirtiest fart and I'm fairly sure it came from his direction.

Not sure he quite made it to "yo-yo manager/safe pair of hands" status in the PL.

Saw that he was linked to the Middlesbrough job as well - surely he's well past it now, how longs it been since he was a Manager?
