What does Mourinho expect to achieve by discussing his players apparent weaknesses against his favoured players, besides more attention for himself?

Bizarre. He must realise comments like this are hardly going to motivate Mata.

    Victory at the cottage!

A message from Chairman Shahid Khan:

“Craven Cottage means the world to generations of Fulham supporters, and I have heard from many of them over the past two months. Our supporters’ views on the statue have been made clear. I respect Mr Al Fayed and know he had good intentions in paying an individual tribute. However, the removal of the statue is the right thing for Fulham Football Club.”

Yeah if I was Mata my reaction to comments like that would be 'fuck him them', knowing I could go to any other club in the world and be treated with the respect I deserve.

I don't feel sorry for players who go to Chelsea for the benjamins and are treated like cunts.

Get whats coming to you IMO.

Yes, he should have signed for us while we showed him around the Emirates instead of letting Roman's money turn his head. Still, he's too classy for Chelsea, lovely footballer.

Hah, yep - just about to say that we're going to concede if it carries on like this...and yes, we've just conceded.

Mid to Forwards look fine (pity that Hooper still can't start) - but there's a huge hole between Bassong and Turner at the mo. The fans have been getting on Hughton's back in regards to 'negative' play, but as soon as he tries a more attacking line-up then we get pulled apart. Too much too soon.

Oh well - it pains me to say it but it's good to see that Lambert is getting his 'sh*t' together at Villa.

If it's any consolation I think villa will do that to a few teams this year.

It's a muscle tear so it'll need a scan. Least a couple of weeks I imagine.

I see van Wolfswinkel is one of those strikers who does nothing for the team but chip in with goals.

Haha! Agger, Skrtel, Sakho and Toure all playing for Liverpool today. Mental but amazing.

Should have been a draw, but Norwich are always nicking undeserved points, so...

I thought we'd inevitably Fuck up at the end but thankfully some decent last ditch defending and brad saved us. I actually cannot remember our last one-nil victory! Tonev looks raw but dangerous. Nice to see Kodak making an early impact, looks Luke a good player.

You are a factory of sadness.

Sessegnon is probably the most predictable first goal scorer bet I've ever won :)

Heh, I chickened out of the same bet. Hope he gets another one too.

The odds must be becoming progressively shorter on Di Canio being the first sacking of the season?

I dislike Liverpool as much as the next man but looked like Sturridge should have got a pen there.

Yeah, he was honest and tried to stay up so ref didn't give it, shocking decision.

That's what made it even worse IMO, sends the message that trying to stay on your feet is not advantageous.

Delighted that Morrison got his 1st goal today, pity he couldn't get the head down at United but would hate to see his talent wasted.

Jesse Lingard (the lad who was excellent in preseason) who is on a month long loan to Birmingham from United got a 13 min hat trick too
