Haha, Fulham are getting rid of that ridiculous Michael Jackson stature now Al Fayid has gone.

You are not alone - it's just human nature. Do you remember the time when Al Fayed installed it? That was a real case of 'they don't care about us'.

RE Williams and Coutinho. Am I the only one who thinks it's barely a foul Nevermind a card? I mean from that gif it looks like Williams gets the ball quite clearly, following which Coutinho dives into and over his outstretched leg.
You are a generic pundit aicm5p!
If by generic you mean correct, then yes :)

    Re. Coutinho/Williams.

Looks like Williams got the ball but had a little lash out at Coutinho, this latter part of the incident was very similar to what got Nani sent off in last year's CL match against Real Madrid.

    @arials101 there is another option...
As a black man, maybe he hates Suarez because he's a cheating biting racist?

Al Fayed only has himself to blame really. Either that or he can blame it on the bogey?

I agree that it's basically the same in the way that it's completely different. Like a true thing that is false, or a spade that isn't a spade.

You are a factory of sadness.

McEachran has joined Watford on loan. Brilliant young player, but his career path looks like it'll be all too familiar at Chelsea - loan, loan, loan, move to someone like Swansea or West Brom, have a couple of fantastic seasons, move to Citeh/Liverpool/Chelsea again, play a few League Cup games, rot on the bench for a couple of seasons, then off to West Ham at about 28 wondering where his career went.

It's a shame for all the young lads that come through Chelsea or sign there relatively young. Complete waste of your early developmental years as you won't get game time. Reckon most will now be very wary.

Useless club for developing young players. Re-hiring Mourinho doesn't help.

McEachran looked pretty good under Ancelloti but since then Chelsea have just let him rot. The same thing is happening with Chalobah who's on £30k a week :o.

Players like Islam Feruz, Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are all meant to be good enough but Chelsea don't really seem to be able to transition players in the 18-21 age group into the first team. When young players are better paid in Chelsea reserves than they would be in the first team of a smaller premier league club it can't be good for development.

Sturridge and Lukaku's recent performances would probably put them above Chelsea's current fronline, but both had to leave the club to get regular games. If Lukaku can't get a chance this season how many other youngsters ever will. I'd imagine players like Ross Barkley or Raheem Sterling would get zero chance to be near the first team at Chelsea. Money is shortsighted.
The 18-21 bracket is a problem for loads of clubs, not just Chelsea. Liverpool had the same problem with Shelvey - the only difference there was his desire to play games was enough to motivate him to leave. Most young players don't seem willing/able to make that leap.

The trouble is you have to stick with them and give them serious game time if they are actually going to develop. You'd better be pretty sure that they're going to make it otherwise it's a big risk.

The turnover of managers at Chelsea doesn't help. Young players go hot and cold so you're gonna have pretty big periods where their not playing that great. It's short term weakening the team to improve the team with a (hopefully) world class player in the long term. New managers coming in are just going to play the best team they have, especially since at Chelsea they know they aren't going to be given a whole lot of leeway.

Liverpool aren't better than most, they just have a poorer squad. Why would Chelsea and Man City need to bother with academy graduates?

Things you thought you'd never say:

    #1. Thank you Steven Gerrard.

I sat next to him on the coach and he gave me loads of advice. He said the big hitters are going to be looking at me but the main thing for me is to stay with the club Iím at, the team I support and love, which is Everton.í

Is that what Gerrard was thinking when he threatened to move and then got a nice pay increase?

He will go when money comes a knocking.

I can only think of a handful of Premiership players who are utterly wasted anywhere near their defence. Mata is one of them.
