Yeah Spurs have spent well and Arsenal look good, but it's all irrelevant. When Liverpool win all 38 games it won't matter what anyone else does ;-)

Wonder if Ferguson has given Moyes' number to Halsey too. ;)

I have a horrible feeling that Liverpool's decent start will evaporate the day Suarez steps back on the pitch.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

Yeah I was hoping he would be back when we played them next Saturday.

The best thing we could do is give them access to video replays and assume that every time Young or Suarez go down in the box that it's a dive.

If they slap him out on the right, then I'll be happy.

Although that doesn't bode well for Moses/Aspas' chances.

I cant believe they have loaned out their best striker. I know Jose said 'he isnt ready' but, christ, hes more ready for a season than torres and ba.
If you have someone who is happily batting in goals for a season, doing well in pre-season, you should really give them a showing, not punt them out to another team.

I wonder if he didn't miss the penalty against Bayern he would still be at Chelsea.

looking at the table, its easy to see the season finishing with a similar look with the top 6 remaining in the top 6, the next six staying in the top twelve and bottom eight being fairly similar

If that's the case that's terrible. Keep him there, give him a chance, build him up. He's gonna be a great striker.

Still, I don't mind Chelsea mucking up.

It is funny how everyone is waiting for Liverpool to fuck it up somehow, rather than being confident they will actually have a decent season.
Why would they be confident? It's been a while since they had a decent season.

I know it might be early in the season but Arsenal and Liverpool look pretty good so far and could easily see them both comfortably in the top 4.

The rest of the teams have all looked a bit 'meh'.

Tottenham and Everton have looked good too, and one of them may well finish in the top four as well.

Arsenal are only a couple of injuries away from a crisis, so we can't take anything for granted at this stage.

I really can't see Liverpool or United finishing in the top four.

I can see Liverpool finishing there.

Also, after 3 games you're writing off the current champions from even making the top 4.

    That's a little far fetched.

Can't you just put "Machester United are the current champions" in your sig or something? Would save you having to type it out in every post.

It'll be a topsy-turvy season, that's for sure. Most people were expecting Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd to be in the top three, but I''m not sure if that'll be the case (even if it is early in the season). Chelsea already looking nowhere near as infallible as they previously were under Mourinho, which is a good sign.

We are just making predictions. A team changing their manager and finishing five places lower the next season is hardly unheard of.

I certainly can't see anyone running away with it. Would be lovely if we had a genuine four, five or even six horse race for the title. Not uncommon in the Championship, but I something I can't remember in the top division since the 80s.

True, Liverpool have won 3 games, but they've won them all 1-0. Hardly convincing, I'd be suprised if they win tonight.

I reckon Man City will sort themselves out and win the league tbh.

Think City's long term prospects look good, they might even have a good run in the CL but I think Pellegrini will need a season in the prem to adjust.

Still think it'll be Chelsea this year but it's definitely going to be one of the most open title race's ever. If by Christmas Arsenal are still in and around the top I'm going to be very excited. even if we don't win it, just to be involved will make it the most exciting season in bloody ages.

Maybe cause recent posts about us seem to think that means nothing.

It doesn't mean we're 100% certain to come in the top 4 but to imply that we're so much worse than everyone else in the top 6 now is over the top.

It kind of does mean nothing. We're all back to zero points at the start of a new season.

mcmonkeyplc: That may well be, but people are surely allowed to speculate that Utd could miss out on the top four with some grounds of justification, judging by on and off-field developments.

Anyone, one person has said they can't see United making the top four, and nobody has said they're "much worse than everyone else in the top six", so stop being so precious.
