    Spurs the eternal flops.
It goes Chelsea, City, Liverpool, United, Spurs, Arsenal.

    So...no...

She's ruined a potentially hot date with me as well. Nvm.

That's not a UK registration, is it?

Is the entire point of that picture 'pretty Man Utd girl burns Liverpool shirt, lol'

Sheesh, at least put some effort in.

So we now have a third Belgian at the club - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23397482

    Anyone?
  • Deleted user 22 July 2013 09:23:53
Not going to pretend to know much about him, but I have a vague memory of him scoring a couple against us in the CL.

He is quite obviously a Bale replacement (LW in the short term, and completely in the long).

You mean he's not going to go out on loan again?

I thought that was the Chelsea way? Hoover up the continent's best young talent for for over the odds, as early as possible so their rivals can't get them, then send them on loan till they're needed?
Over the odds? We actually get them quite cheap by spotting potential and getting them early. For example we bought De Bruyne a year and a half ago for 6.7m, after a terrific year in the Bundesliga Dortmund were trying to buy him for 18m.

I have seen a bit of Chadli playing for Belgium and he looked like a good player

Seems like a good bit of business. We all know Bale is going next year. May as well look for replacements now and get them integrated this year.

I'm guessing Bale is going to be playing up front this year then.

Moyes confirms Utd have made a 2nd bid for Cesc, rumoured to be 30m.

Can't see it making sense for Barca to sell for what they paid, especially given they've sold Thiago. Unless they need the cash badly to cover Neymar
  • Deleted user 22 July 2013 10:27:24
I can't really see why they'd sell, unless he wants to go, which is not impossible given it's thus far not gone entirely brilliantly. You'd have thought he'd stick it out though, but I can see Man U being an interesting proposition at the very least.

I don't know which would make me more angry, Cesc going to Utd or Arsenal spending 40m+ on a player i can't abide.

    I think the second.

They're both at some kind of stand-off. He's said he doesn't want to go unless they want to sell and vice versa. Be surprised if he wanted out after only 2 years, he wouldn't like admitting defeat so easily.

Its a bit of a double edge sword for me, I don't really want Utd to sign Fabregas because he will no doubt be a great player for them but I can't see them selling Rooney to Chelsea without making a big signing to replace him.

I can see both happening. If Suarez can control himself, there's 30 goals right there even with the 6 games ban.

You'll soon learn to love him.

Or maybe the plan is to convert Bale into a striker/false-9 type?

You can play a 4-4-2 with a complete forward/do what the fuck you like without having to reinvent the wheel.

Kinda in the Ronaldo role (starting from the wing, interplay and swapping with the CF).

I guess it's a slight change from the Messi role, which is kinda the same thing (starting as a CF, interplay and swapping with the wingers).

All part of the total football brand that AVB would like, plus would give him a year's worth of training on how to manage Messi when he moves to Barca.
