Tom Ince back on the market after declaring 'wales sucks'.

    David Ornstein ✔ @bbcsport_david
Spurs hope to sign Benteke. Depends on fee + other clubs keen. Will develop next week & likely to be straight cash, no player exchange #thfc

Nah, too tacky. My impression of Wales is it's a bit more classy.

Indeed. More hedging than Hampton Court maze.

Sources suggest Benteke may play football next season for a club that has an s or another consonant in its name. You heard it here first. Money will definitely be involved.

You are a factory of sadness.

Hah, you cynics - you just wait till possibly next week, and when things perhaps develop you'll potentially be so embarrassed!

Interesting article in the Guardian about just how shite the current youth system organisation is. http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/11/investigation-shortage-talent-england sorry there's no hyperlink as I am on my phone.

Lots of places reporting Jovetic to Man City all but done (I know, I know).

Bit of a weird one though, both Aguero and Jovetic are very much center forwards.

I always thought Jovetic was much more of a No10.

Can see his reasoning after the birth of his child yesterday but slighty gutted he'd rather play football on a beach.

Indeed plus he's more valuable to the team as to what he brings (what Khedira brings has now technically been replaced).

And Khedira would cost too much.
We don't know exactly how much he would cost, or to whom. We don't even know how many years he's got left in his contract. Besides, unless he's 50+mil plus, these days he can't be classified as "too much" (unless of course you're Crystal Palace.) :D

All I know is Illmerandi (or whatever), Alonso and Khedira all play the same position, and I can't imagine all 3 will stay.

Not really fair just because they're from another country. Not like they can get season tickets, when us local fans can barely afford them.

Besides, lets be honest here, I'm pretty sure they don't support us for the glory of silverware now do they?

There is a precisely 0% chance of any of those kits being real. I went to patpong market when I was over there and there are at least half a dozen stalls with more kits than a sports direct on them.

It's bang on the money. The EPPP is a joke.
The sad irony is that Arsenal were already rumoured to rebel against it, even though they helped usher it in and used it to get kids like Crowley, who we'll then claim as our "academy product".

    LOL.
And yes kit prices are a joke. Do clubs like Arsenal and the rest expect countries like them to buy their kits? Especially when you consider most of them probably work in the sweatshops that produce it.

When I was over there you could, even with my relatively poor haggling skills, get them down to the equivalent of about 2 a top, so I bought a tenners worth off this one guy, including a holland shirt that said VAN BEMMEL on the back.

They must think there is some kind of long term revenue stream, or they wouldn't bother. 3-5m net for the tour itself.

Its all about the sponsership deals, for example Singha beer is the official Chelsea beer. My parents went to Thailand last year and they said that Singha adverts with Man Utd and Chelsea players were plastered all over Bangkok

Good point. Especially the secondary sponsorship deals (Utd have something mental like 30 partners, we have 8)
