Apparently that Mythxnaiynaonsdkkkpsaodik geezer doesn't want to go to Liverpool (duh!) and is gonna accept Dortmund's offer instead.

No offence, but its not really a hard choice between the two is it?

I'm inclined to agree, Dortmund are definitely going to be a good contender in the champions league next season. It's really not a tough choice.

One of the best teams in Europe with a superb history to boot.

He'd be mad not to join Dortmund.

Dortmund are buying very well. I love that club. Everything I wish Newcastle would be, but aren't.

David Villa to Spurs next then? A deal i find a tad odd tbh considering his age and recent injuries.
If it wasn't for his age and injuries we'd never be able to sign him.

Don't want to be completely relient on him obviously, but the benefits of having David Villa play for you seem fairly self-evident to me.

I was similarly puzzled when some people were going on about us getting the 'ancient' 29 year old van Persie for a staggering 20-odd million like somehow we were getting the shit end of the deal.

In fairness, this was mainly a vocal group of Arsenal fans trying to kid themselves that they'd got rid at the right time, but still.

It depends on the player and the position. Defenders and midfielders can stay at the top of their games longer than strikers. I'd say a good rule of thumb would be 30 as peak age for a defender, 28 for a midfielder, 26 for a striker. So yeah, RvP is past it, however he benefits from not actually having played that much football, as Arsenal were always nursing him back from one injury or another, and from being a technical player rather than a player whose game is based on pace. Still, his best years are behind him.

Wonder what club Chelsea are going to loan van Ginkel to.

Do they really need another midfielder? Vile club.

So anyone got any bright ideas for who Liverpool can sign now we're not getting Mkhitaryan? I'm just going to sulk until we get someone else to obsess over.
