Dos Santos as well. In fact he was scoring goals for the As and still turned out to be shite.
    Heh, forgot about him.
3 very high profile prodigy all with the claim of being "the next messi" (though in fairness, Dos Santos was more of the next ronaldinho).

I wonder when his brother will get released by Barca?

One of the things I will always love Harry for is his the 'if he could pass a nightclub like he could pass a ball' comment

Uno really should've been the chosen joke, Dougs.

In Arsenal news, Arsenal representatives are apparently in Spain. Can't confirm that Dicky "Tricky" Law was given a global mobile phone and told to call Arsenal once every 24 hours just so to make sure they haven't lost him, can be confirmed.

Luis Alberto wasn't really a Barca B player. He was on loan there from Sevilla.

No one really knows what's going on with Mkhitaryan. Supposedly he's only half owned by Shaktar and his third party owners (one of whom is the head if the Armenian FA) are holding up the deal. Tbh I reckon he'll end up in a league with less stringent ownership rules than the prem, probably Serie A.

June is actually always pretty boring. It's when everyone is either on holiday or playing in tournaments. It's always been July when things kick off.

Especially as they've got Messi and Neymar signed up until 2018.

Still, fair point about the goals. Didn't Bojan have 500 goals for the Bs or something, and he's hardly set the world on fire.
because defending in the spanish leagues is shockin....

ah i'm starting to bore myself now.

Get in! Never thought we'd be able to compete with the likes of Man City and Real Madrid.

I honestly think a deal has been done for Suarez on the quiet. It would certainly explain why Liverpool are quickly and quietly making lots of signings.
Usual budget for Liverpool was around 15-20m, but that's complicated by no CL for a while but the TV money increasing. They've already sold Carroll on top of that. So the current signings, Mignolet and Mkhitaryan would roughly come to that, and I'm assuming Reina plus a few others will be sold as well. I put the early signings down to not wanting a repeat of last year's striker fiasco.

But... something seems a bit too amicable about the Suarez thing, so maybe you're right. I've half assumed that Suarez was backup if they can't sign Bale, and my feeling is that Bale won't move this season.

Much like Higuain for us, how is Paulinho allowed to go to Spurs unchallenged? We bloody need a DM.

It wouldn't really make sense for them to accept our 12mil bid and then your 10mil while our talks were still ongoing, would it?

Cavani to Chelsea for 49 million. Way overpriced if it's true.

Yeah thats my feeling, he looks the part with his hair and his big chin but he hasn't impressed me too much from what I have seen recently. I think he is weaker then he looks and his finishing ain't exactly clinical either.

Also all depends what the terms are.

Cardiff's 10m might all be up front, your 12m might be in installments.

If the rumours are true then the stumbling block is the amount of money we are willing to pay his agent. Apparently he wants 500k but we are only willing to pay 50K. Our chairman doesn't have much time for agents.

As far as I know talks are still ongoing though.

Chelsea paying 50 million for a striker? What could possibly go wrong!

The latest seems to be that the agent actually wants 1m not the 500k originally reported.

I thought our hard stance against agents might be all talk but this list seems to suggest otherwise:

INTERESTING STAT: As of yesterday, only 3 out of 29 players signed in this window have been English.
