Me too! There is no way it's comparable to some of the monstrosities in that article.

That Birmingham City kit is awful.

As a semi-regular at London Road around then I remember the Peterborough United pizza kit only too well.

Yeah I'm aware of that  but didn't you see the French FA was trying to (rightfully) force them to pay the same tax as all the other French clubs if they want to play in the French league, or to pay a fee to enter the league? I'm not sure how it resolved.

I dunno. I'd imagine Morgan's sole life-plan is to be talked about. I'd prefer if the cunt was just ignored, really.

:) No, I didn't, not sure how they would manage it tbh, they're just employees, so unless every other company abusing the position was treated the same...

Apparently Mourinho has agreed a four-year deal with Chelsea - he will be paid around 8.5m a year (after tax). Will take over at the start of June.

Not a shock, but I thought there was a chance that he'd end up at PSG.

Kind of annoying that they can screw managers over so massively and still bring them back. I'd really like to see Chelsea/Abramovich punished for their trigger-happy approach, a club that fucks about as much as they do don't deserve success. But I guess if you keep throwing piles of cash about, problems tend to go away.

    From the Mail:

Aubameyang Snr met with Laudrup and his agent Bayram Tutumlu in London this week and explained that his son was prepared to join Swansea and reject a salary worth three times more which is on offer at Spurs.

    Seems odd if true.

Sounds like the old trick of saying 'My preference is to work/stay working for you, but my new employer/current employer are offering me 10k more a year and, while I'm happy to drop a bit, I just can't afford to drop that much'.

    Don't want Williams.

Keep Vermaelen for one more season and try to teach him how to play a DM role, then if that doesn't work sell him then. He's fine as a third choice CB as long as he's happy to play that role.

    Williams is shit.

Its done according to the official Porto website. 45m for James and 25m for Moutinho
    Bet AVB is well happy.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with a Cardiff fan! :D Williams was very good in our 1st season in the Premier League. But most of the time last season he was a bloody liability. Probably cost us a few games with stupid, schoolboy errors.

He's 'best friends' with Rio Ferdinand and completely lost him for United's winning goal which seemed really fishy to me. Chico was trying to do the work of 2 people during that game, Williams was so bad. His positioning for Fulham's 1st goal last Sunday was abysmal too.

12 Million? I'd drive him to London myself.

I quite like it. It's just an update of the design. Chelsea have done the same in recent years. I really don't get the outrage, but then again I'm not an Everton fan.

Looks like they've had to downsize in the current economic climate, they truly are the pauper's club. Also, looks a little bit like the rocket in Button Moon now. Glad they've found a use for an old washing up liquid bottle. Should think of reappointing Howard Kendall, in that case too, plenty of empties they could get their money back on.

The backlash against the redesign has been unanimous since it was leaked a couple of months ago. There's a petition against it with over 15,000 signatures (feel free to add to it, please!). It's been reported that the club has taken note after they spent much of the last week defending the design (literally designed by a Liverpool fan and a Man City, that's not made up...), but any change won't be until next season. The press have run with it which is helpful, e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-22679092

Best of all, this was one of the first products in the club shop with the new badge: :D

TBH I think you will have to suck it up like we did.

Dunno why but cartoon badges are all the rage thesedays.

I miss our club motto :-(

You don't really realise how dated a logo is until you've lived with an update for a while. These things do need a slight refresh fairly regularly.

Fans will always bitch and moan.

What was the reaction like to the Chelsea redesign? That really was a fundamental change as opposed to a freshening up like the Everton one.
