I wouldn't mind if it weren't for the sleeves.

So, Newcastle are down to their 3rd keeper for the Arsenal game.

Isn't that the magical circumstance when they can get an emergency loan? In which, we should offer them Lloris.
Maybe they can borrow that fellow West Brom had on the last day of last season.

    I don't get the reference. I'm sure it's a zinger though.

PLAYING the 2022 World Cup in the searing summer heat of Qatar is “not rational and reasonable,” Fifa president Sepp Blatter said in an interview yesterday.

Since Arsene Wenger last won a trophy at Arsenal, all other 91 English league clubs have changed their manager once Fergie retires.

Rumours of Lukaku going on loan again next year. The team that has apparently won the race for him :

    Swansea City.

Would be a massive signing for them to be honest. Lukaku up top, Michu playing behind him?, could be absolutely lethal. Just hope the Swans team isnt decimated by Brendan Rodgers paying 400 million for a handful of their players.....

I'd like to see Lukaks do it at Chelsea, I think he's ready.

Having said that, I do fully expect him to go on loan again, and if he does, there'd be worse places to go than Swansea (in footballing terms of course).

The problem with Chelsea is that they'll never admit Torres is a failure and Ba is half decent, so Lukaku would be demoted to League Cup games most likely.

If the Swans got him and a few other players of equal quality, they would be pushing top 6 next season IMO.

If Mourinho comes back I would imagine one of the clauses in his contract will be the ability to send Torres on his way.

Or, wil Mourinho walk back through the door thinking he's the special one who can finally get the best out of Torres?

    @Ultrasoundwave

Europa League says no, and relegation fight next year says yes.

I think Swansea could quite easily find themselves going backwards next season tbh.

    Torres to Spurs?!

I'm only half serious here of course. And I doubt we could afford him anyway.

The way they switched off after the League Cup, whilst somewhat understandable, should still be quite alarming.
Quite. I was expecting a real tough game when they came to the Lane, but they were absolute pushovers. If we'd have had a striker we'd have massacred them.

They're a decent side who play some nice football, but I'm not totally convinced about them yet.

It's also noticeable that Michu began to miss a lot more than he hit. His excellent season may not transfer to next season. The thing to consider though is that it's always possible they will pick up some more good players and push on next season.

You are a factory of sadness.

There is an awful lot of press chatter about us having agreed a deal for Villa.

I've been here far too many times to get my hopes up...that said...my hopes are a little bit up...

They are the favourites to sign D. Villa by all accounts, overtaking arsenal in the race for his signature.

Thats a very reportery thing to say.

We definitely wanted him and he was keen but Barca wouldn't sell. He's a class act, regardless of age. Think we've turned to Higauin instead, so could be an open path...

I think we gave up when it became clear that Barca wouldn't sell him for less than 13m. Class act or not, from Wenger's point of view that's too much of a gamble for a 31-year old that's recently come back from a serious injury.

Age isn't an issue at the right price. We signed Parker and Gallas for example, not to mention Friedel.

I doubt the fee would be huge. Wages are apparently around 120k a week. Might be doable.

Its only heresay, obviously, but Graham Hunter seemed to think villa going to an English club was pretty much a certainty, the only thing left is basically him choosing between spurs and arsenal.

I heard a rumour that we're buying Ronaldo and selling Rooney in part exchange.

    Just thought I'd share.

    Come and get it cumslingers!

Apparently Gazzetta del Sport are saying that Inter want Scheinderlin. It's going to be a long summer.

I somehow struggle to see Higuain going to Arsenal, but yeah, that would be a huge signing.

You are thinking of Arsenal ;-)

Getting Villa would be a massive signing for us and it may convince Bale to stay on for another season.

As Kalel said though, not getting my hopes up. Can't see it happening personally.
