Not sure Wigan were one of the three worst teams in the Premier League
    Er... the table never lies.

Oh God, you had to bring that up. If only we'd won that, and every other game, we'd have won the league and probably kept Moyes. So unlucky :(

It's the same every year. They destroy our title challenge. Bloody ref and his extra magic minutes.

Scenes like this are why Wigan are no major loss:

Hoping for this, bring on a heavy EL final tomorrow night! Plus the Moyes last game factor and sightly less pressure as they have solidified top 4.

    Wishful thinking :)

Arsenal fans now singing how they are the finest team the world has ever seen after booing the team off at half time when it was 1-1. Fickle much?
Lol we were booing Dean off at half time, not the team! It was never a free kick.

Anyways can't ask for more than that. Our results in the last ten games have been sensational, people moaned that we tippy tappy the ball around but still lost games, now we are playing like shit and winning so i will take it.

All in our hands now, anything can happen. If you asked me ten games ago if I would take this situation I would have bitten your hand off.

VERY true. Still one of my favourite websites: http://www.sincearsenallastwonatrophy.co.uk/
Seven years since Arsenal won a trophy; three days since Wigan did.
Arsenal do have a more robust business plan though...

You lot clearly don't know many Portsmouth fans.

Sunday really won't be the formality people think it will. Still plenty of time to fuck it up.

Whats the difference between finishing 11th and finishing 17th? There are only 2 points between those places, it must be a few million pounds up for grabs

@roz123 True that, there's a lot of cash difference with a bump up the table. Despite Villa being safe now I'd still really like us to try and beat Wigan and climb up the table for that very reason.

You are a factory of sadness.

Think they were waiting to see what happened, assume it will be our game and Chelsea. Maybe all 3.

It said Arsenal at 3 on SS1 and Spurs at 4 on SS2 after the game.

Yeah, I imagine they were planning on putting the WIgan-Villa game on but that has no bearing on the fortunes of either really now so switched it to the two that do matter.

Shame about that Villa match in a way - would have been a good watch given what would have been at stake. If only the last game of the season was a NLD (for the neutral I mean)...

Sad that we relegated Wigan who I like but what a big win. I sensed a lot of nervousness in the ground and at 1-1 we were definitely on the ropes and 4-1 flatters us a bit I think.

That was the easy part done which we made hard work of. We won't get anything at Newcastle if we play like we did tonight.

If Arsenal do so much as turn up at Newcastle, they'll get what they need.

It's a wonder Spurs or Arsenal are anywhere near the top given how shit they play every game, according to their fans.

Yeah, I'm not really getting the negativity about yesterdays game. We started well, got a goal. Worst part was the last 15 minutes of the first half and the first 10 or so of the second half. Apart from that we played pretty well and were incisive going forward in the second half.

I mean, sure it's only Wigan, despite their late surge and FA Cup win, but we still played well and did what we have to do. I'm confident we'll beat Newcastle, though I'm also confident that it won't be as easy the Newcastle fans are making it out to be.

I love how we're still 15th no matter what universe you're in :p

I still think we should stick with Pardew though - give him the strikers he needs, sign a top centre-back to replace Colo and give him the first 5 games of next season. If he's still poop, out he goes.......

I cant work out the significance of the 'real' premier league table.

Also, just heard Harry on the radio on my way in to work effectively saying he is going to have to buy an entirely new squad to get out of the championship.

Then, presumably, an entire new squad to stay in the premier league.

    Unlucky, Tony.

I'm guessing its one with incorrect decisions corrected. Goals disallowed for offside, that sort of forshnizzle

Goals only scored on a Tuesday is the REAL real table.

I love those kind of tables, always clearly made by a scouser trying desperately to prove that Liverpool are still a top four team.
