A season without Fulham finishing 8th-12th would just feel weird.

Wow, SAF drops the bomb in his interview - Rooney has asked for a transfer.

So what you're saying is that Fulham need a serious change of everything before next season, because something isn't working?

I disagree, I think they need a nice summer holiday, a decent midfielder, and if they could find a cheap but good forward from somewhere they'll be golden. No need to burn everything down or sack Jol, they're a small club in the Prem and they're making a decent fist of it.

Well everyone knew but I guessing it was before he announced retirement hence the he's thinking it through comment

Could be seen to put United at a disadvantage for negotiations.

Where would he go? PSG? Only place in the EPL I can think of is Chelsea, as a Roman impulse buy; no consultation with the manager.

Rooney can go fuck himself, wouldn't even come down to the pitch for the fairwell speech when pretty much everyone involved with the club was there.
Plus Scholes saying that Rooney asking for a transfer was a good thing - fair to say that he's not liked at the club. Didn't realise the situation was that bad, he must have had a major fallout with Ferguson or something.
I think you're taking that comment a bit out of context, the interview was very light hearted.
I thought that too at first, but the SS presenter's quick clarification afterwards made it seem like there was a bit more to it.

They wouldn't sell to chelsea. Psg or bayern.

Defeat is not getting knocked down, but refusing to get back up.

I forgot to add Fulham to my list of possible relegation candidates.

Fulham do well to be mid table really. A club that get 25k capacity can't seriously expect to compete beyond that.

They'll have an eye on a fireworks striker to replace Torres.

We're expanding our capacity this season so that should solve that problem...

Fulham have always been in and around the top division throughout their history; I donít think ground capacity has any bearing on how successful a club should be. Income from attendances is only a small percentage of a clubís revenue; on your theory Newcastle should be a top 3 club.

I don't think he's particularly highly valued by the big clubs on the continent. His brain is awesome though.

I thought ticket sales were the single biggest income for a team? Might have just been surpassed by TV rights.

Not sure if Fulham need more capacity. Not hard to get a ticket, although also not empty when I've been.
