^^ Nope he played well against UTD, City and Arsenal.

If Ade played like that every week we would already have a CL place confirmed.

Hearing that Moyes will be taking Steve Round with him to continue as his assistant.

    Every cloud... :)

No. People just forget (sometimes) that he's only human. If he gets double or triple marked, there's only so much he can do. He had a couple of chances, but it's not PES - you can't just smash them in from 40 yards in every game in real life.

It's like an alloy, the proportion of the ingredients is very important. Newcastle have exceeded Optimum Frenchness.

Fair enough. It was perfectly setup though, with that freekick near the end. Reminded me somehow of the Beckham freekick for England after he was vilified following his sending off, and then the goal that sent England to the World Cup. Like it was mean't to happen. Alas, it wasn't..

i think the big game choker thing that gets bandied about from time to time is more the fact that more people watch the big games. If said big player has a bad game in said big game, he is forever labeled as a big game choker who doesn't have game.

That's why I asked; I don't watch every Spurs match. Only see his goals in highlight reels and such (and hate his heart celebration).

Ah, the Fast Show. Never shown on Danish tv sadly. Indecisive Dave is a favourite!

I believe every single human being on this big blue planet wants him to score the third and final goal in extra time.

Didn't you do this yesterday with Wigan?

So the draw basically means that the first team to drop points is out of it?

You'll steamroll Wigan, Newcastle might be a problem.

Villa could also beat/get a draw with Chelsea and the Everton game would be Moyes' last so extra incentive there, too.

FAO Menace - just read that Moyes to Man Utd thing is a smokescreen, Mourinho has heavily implied after their match against Malaga tonight that he is probably going to Man Utd.

    Thoughts?

Can't see that being true. Probably just Jose talking shite as usual

Here are my thoughts... Mourinho, who loves games, might be playing one. :)

I actually think Moyes is the best option, particularly if they want to build another legacy. The trophies mean nothing. He hasn't really had the means to get one. The European experience is important, but he'll have Fergie there to help him. I think it's a perfect role for him, given the support he'll have.

I'd be amazed if Man City let Mourinho walk into the Man United job without putting up a fight.

Didn't Fergie state a few years back that Mourinho is the kind of manager he'd hope to succeed him?

    Taking the piss?

Haven't changed my opinion of Mourinho. Can't stand the fucker, hope he goes to Chelsea where he's a perfect fit. Should he come to United you know my stance on it. I don't give a shit about results or medals. Attitude and style, and ultimately entertainment value is what I care about.

My favourite to take over from Ferguson is Klopp, I love his attitude and style. If Moyes comes I hope he'll continue the tradition of attacking style football that I believe Ferguson wanted to play (although he did usually base it on a solid defense).

I can see all the arguments but will Moyes be given time. People like Wenger and Fergie are unique in that their reputations have afforded them lapses. In today's football managers aren't given time. If Moyes doesn't hit the ground running what will happen? Has he ever negotiated a big signing? Dealt with an ego? Actually won anything ever?

Again I can see the arguments about personality, style, integrity etc. but they count for nothing if you are Man Utd and you finished 3rd.

I said we'd get 7 points from our last 4 games, and it wouldn't be enough. Now have 4 points from 2 with 2 to play. Cant see us winning both. Stoke away not easy for Spurs though.

Utd have 36 points this year. Arsenal have 34. Second best team in the league thsi year. The form and momentum are clearly in your favour.

I think my reservations are because we're grinding results out and that's great and all but can't help but think something will give somewhere. We've ridden some luck in the last few weeks.
