    Yup.

Sounds like we're pretty far along with this South Korean guy that plays for Hamburg. Might be nonsense but it's one of those rumours that's a little too left field to be made up.

I believe that was Sven's entire recruitment policy at Man City. Sign FM legends and hope for the best.

Yeh, funny that, for all intents and purposes, Kompany has turned into the player he promised to be in FM2005

I hope we recall Rose and give him a run of games next season. It does seem to be the strategy to be fair, and worked well with Kyle Walker at Villa as well as one or two other players. If they flop, at least it's not in our team!

Rose, Carroll, Townsend, Kane - all look like they may make the step up in one way or another next season. There's also I think a Brazilian player of ours who is making waves, but his name escapes me.

As for Leandro I'm not sure I can be bothered with another go on that merrygoround as a fan. He obviously isn't fussed about coming to Spurs, so at most would leave us a season or two later anyway, so best not to go there - the instability caused by key players leaving is more or less what's stopped us doing better this season: King, Modric, VdV, etc. Mind you, I'd have Modric back in a heartbeat if he was willing to come...

I don't get the good feeling towards Kane. He looks absolute bobbins to me.

Also, while BAE has hit something of a cult status and is a decent player, I'm not sure he's that bothered about Spurs anymore, so happily move him on.

In my ideal world we'd ship the following players at the end of the season:

Brad (I know, but he's declining badly)
    Gomes
    BAE
    Gallas (NOW please!)
Kumalho (has he ever even played? Joke he's in the first team!)
Parker or Thudd (only room for one journeyman squad player in our midfield)
    Bentlol
    Adebayor

Get in a world class striker and use the youth for cover on the wings and at the back.

Don't think Kane will make it with us, but I think Carroll could be a real star, and we've got a couple more kids on the way who are looking really something. Alex Pritchard is absolutely one to watch. And yeah, Caicedo (Columbian, not Brazilian) looks to have some talent. I have hopes for Coulibaly as well although he is apparently ludicrously raw.

Still, little has happend with massive prospects like Bostock and whoever in the past, so we'll see.

Kumalho isn't in our current 25. He's out on loan.

@Shikasama I think time will tell - maybe because he's English he's being given a bit more breathing space, but his record outside of the senior squad is actually pretty good. It's a case as to whether he can make the step up.

Or whether he'll end up like poor old Dean Marney :(

Carroll totally bossed the U21 game with us in the week apparently. Looks a real player.

    Fair enough.

That whole deal is / was really fishy though. Smacks of something weird going on there.

I don't know if it was "fishy" but it probably was done for commercial reasons. It was part of the club partnership agreement. He's a regular for South Africa so I guess we figured it might be worth a punt.

Coulibaly was the dogs bollocks for my Colchester team...on Football Manager.

Carroll and Townsend do look very good as well.

Good press conference by Brendan Partridge. The FA should do more to help and rehabilitate suarez? What fucking planet are you on?

There is a very valid point in this punishment being totally out of proportion with what happend with Defoe. I think the FA do look a bit stupid about that.

But what can they do? Retrospectively punish Defoe for something that happened seven years ago? Or get it wrong again?

Just because a mistake was made then doesn't mean it sets a precedent for making another one. Suarez's punishment is fair. Defoe got lucky. Perhaps the FA should acknowledge this, but it doesn't change anything for Suarez.

Surely it's more do with his previous actions as the FA warned him about his future conduct.

I guess we're yet to see the FA's explanation, but yes, I'd imagine it will be carefully worded to suggest this punishment isn't entirely based on this one incident.

Probably more to do with the fact Defoe was booked and the FA are terrified of being seen to undermine refs.

They are looking at that in the close season apparently. They know that the numerous incidents this season have left them looking very silly indeed.

Won't make a difference, they'll still hump us - the team is hardly weakened.
