Yes I'd hope so. Utd gave us one in 1991 and I see no reason why we won't do it on Sunday.
    Indeed.

    I shall be late

Robin van Persie has become the 29th player to leave Arsenal and win a trophy since Arsenal last won something. Now there's a stat (if it's true. Seems awfully high to me).
It does include the likes of the guy who won the Johnstones paint trophy with chesterfield so its not quite as good a stat as it first appears.

Seems that Chelsea fans have been singing anti-Semitic chants at Benayoun. Classy.

Waiting for theHammerite to come and justify it.
Oh wait, Chelsea aren't currently winning a game, he's not coming her until then.

I miss yossi. We should have kept him, great little player, and proper professional.

Im sure they will continue to be able to lure players to the emirates with the promise of a frugal spending policy and an early exit from the champions league.

Ha, the first few tweets were great.
Then the rest are just RTs of the first few tweets.

    Love it though.

Arsenal are a true sporting club. Which other top club still functions with the basic child-sports philosophy of, "It's not the winning, but the taking part that counts"?

It is absolutely delicious that the emirates will welcome back RVP less than a week after they win the league.

Every year theres a 'you couldnt make it up' incident and that is probably this years.

Except that was quite predictable really. We all knew the price of buying the league. Appears to be 24m, for the league's best striker.

@ecureuil It properly winds me up now, I really wish he'd stop pulling those fucking faces!

I know it's a stupid thing to get angry about, but every time I see him pulling one of those stupid gurning faces I want to smack it off.

Really? Because Arsene apparently had a 30m transfer fund he didn't use. Why didn't he buy the league with it?

The guard of honour is one of those traditions that needs to be abolished. One team clapping the other on before a competitive game just doesn't seem right.

Might encourage the ones that remain into next season not to let it fucking happen again.

Yeah, but to have it sewn up the five days before they come to you is a bit hollywood. If the useless cunts on the blue half had put up a better fight, next saturday wouldnt be half as embarassing for you.

Hollywood would have been them winning the league at Arsenal with him scoring the hat-trick there (which I would have dearly dearly loved).

I'd take a guard of honour rather than VP scoring a title-winning hatrick against us at home.

I just hope they show some self-cocking-respect at Emiraates now, and don't send in a C team to get humped.

I'm looking forward to David Baddiel's view on the topic.

Hollywood would have been him scoring in the last minute with a diving header, taking a blow to the head. He would then wake up in hospital and adk 'did we win boss' to which alex would reply 'aye son, and you nearly died out there'.

Obviously the yanks would need subtitles.

Never going to happen. It'll be cruise control from here unfortunately. Luckily for Arsenal.

To get a record points total you need a great team chasing you.  See Real last season.
Yeah, it's not gonna happen. It'll be reminiscent of when Arsenal won the title with 10 wins on the bounce, then had 3 straight losses. All the impetus had gone. I remember the final table totally flattering 2nd place as they caught up a bit as a result, when in reality Arse would probably have had 6+more if the points had mattered.

Not saying there'll be four straight losses but 4 straight wins is a stretch now methinks. I hope I'm completely wrong.

Traditionally, fergie has never taken his foot off the pedal, saying it would be disrespectful. Whether the players will have one foot on the beach or not is another thing altogether, but the good thing is, they are still chasing chelseas points tally.

Didn't United get humped by Chelsea after winning the title a few years ago?
