Christ that's a fucking appalling challenge.

"Bad but seen worse", I'm struggling to think of any worse right now, that was dreadful.

McManaman needs to be banned for the rest of the season and up in court on Monday for that tackle. Tackling ABOVE THE KNEE is common assault.

It was two feet off the ground as well, how that was missed...I'm baffled.

Good on John Carver for getting stuck in.

I'm getting really bored of Assistant Referees being useless. Halsey can't see it, that's fair enough, but there are no excuses for the ass ref not spotting it and relaying the information.

It's a horrible tackle, but I don't like all this demonising the player stuff. If the officials do their job he'll get a ban. I hope Haidara isn't out to long. He's looked good when he's played.

Standing ovation for a rabona straight to the other team. Chelsea fans know quality when they see it.

Lovely goal tbf. And Mata is just quality, love watching him play.

Btw, only caught the Spurs analysis... Did Lawro or the presenter bloke day Spurs were missing Neil Lennon , or were my subtitles on the blink?

    Ha, Lennon obviously!

It was Annie Lennox (probably better than Adebayor).

    Named his daughter after him.
    AVBina?
I thought this was just a sickening coincidence?

Just seen the game on MotD2 and it was a disgusting challenge. The fact Martinez actually came out and defended it was almost as bad.

I still think (hope) Wigan are down, you can't keep getting lucky decisions like that.

    I'm sure it is yes.

Yep, we gave Hazard a big applause for this run and then a minute later he bangs in a quality goal. West Ham couldn't cope with him at all yesterday, it was a joy to watch.

I'll bet. That little 56m Hazard/Mata link up looked Champions League quality yesterday.

A lot of people on the internet include oscar and call it Mazacar but that just sounds silly.

It was funny during yesterdays game when Terry started shaking his bum at the West Ham fans whilst he was warming up. I think they wanted to see more because they started throwing money at him.

Is the general consensus that Hazard hasn't lived up to his partly self-generated hype?

He's scored and assisted less than Walcott ffs.

Because, obviously, stats always tell the whole story.

It seems he started very well, then didn't do much for most of the season and now he seems to be on form again.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I would hazard (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!1!) a guess that the stats reflect that somewhat.

If I just went, "Hazard's been a bit average all considering" people were gonna quote me stats anyway.

But yes, goals and assists stats are important when determining how well a player has done.

I dunno. Hes always looked alright when ive seen him play but im not a season ticket holder.

Its just that stats as often discussed often dont mean anything. If Hazards assists were for goals against Man U, City and Arsenal they would be more valuable than Walcotts superior assist tally against QPR, Reading and West Ham.

I know thats a pointless thing to say. I just had a stat based discussion with a colleague.

I'm not saying he's been shit, just that considering the hype and how good he's supposed to be, he wouldn't even make the top 5 best players in the prem.

He'll probably come good but he's older than I expected, thought he was still 20 at most.

Time to settle and all that, look at Mata this season, he's been exceptional, I'd fully expect Hazard to similarly up his game again next season.

I suppose, do wonder if he regrets Chelsea though. Not really the place to achieve super-stardom, what with all the manager changes.

Probably would have been much better off at United.

I can think of 170,000 reasons per week why we might be happy with his choice. And of course his agent can think of 6 million reasons.

    Obviously.

Given Mikel did the same thing, I can't help but think Hazard'll be the same resounding success that Mikel has been.
