Yeah, they're very good. Frustratingly I sort of want the shifter now to complete the set (even though as I said, I've hardly used the wheel).

I think this is going to be the first GT game (including Prologue versions) I've ever skipped.

GTA will be my last old-gen game bought and then it's next-gen and PC only.

I'll likely by Gran Turismo 7 when that comes out in two years, or when it's actually finished/fixed a year later.

Roll on December. I wish they would announce the complete car list.

This site list some (maybe all) of the new cars. There's no mention of a Ferrari F50 :(

    The F50 is a beast in PGR4.

Fuck standard cars by the way, who wants to use them?

Ah fuck, no 250 GT California Spyder. What a disappointment.

Very much agreed, it's like some cock length thing where they have to have more cars than anyone else, it's pathetic.
They just need a couple of hundred brilliantly modelled, brilliant to drive cars. Christ, they might even get games out on time then.

    The KTM X-BOW R 12 looks interesting

    @King_Edward

TBH, it's not so much the cars that bother me as the tracks. Would it really have been a waste of time to come up with new, up to date versions of tracks like Trial Mountain and Deep Forest rather than crappy PS2 versions that we got? They really stick out like a sore thumb.

It would of been nice to upgrade the tracks but truth be told I didn't care they had ps2 level graphics. Those tracks are fantastic to drive round and the only time I really noticed it on trial mountain was going down the longish back straight and on deep forest I didn't notice it at all. They are brilliant tracks to drive round and that's all I cared about when I'm driving my car.

I'm still finding it genuinely difficult to get excited about this. If it was for the PS4 I'd be creaming my little panties over it... but eh.

I guess I'm much more shallow than you;) I sometimes spend more time trying to get the graphics settings the best they can possibly be than playing the actual games on the PC!

I always used to associate a new GT with ridiculously good visuals so I suppose I'm kind of disappointed that this isn't really true any more.

It's still true. It's just super hyper specialised now. The game looks mind blowing with a premium in the photo mode.

I really don't recall seeing any PS2 quality tracks in Gran Turismo 5, sure some looked better than others. I did spot some tracks that could have used a bit more detail here and there, i guess it goes to show how impressive the PS2 game was.

One thing is for sure, as impressive as the car interiors are, they are a waste of time, atleast for me, as I like to drive with the full exterior of the car on show.

Some of the tracks are just the GT4 ps2 version - Laguna Seca, Deep Mountain.

Are they still using the same soulless progression system or are they actually going to make a real career mode this time?

Sainsbury's are only advertising game +Precision Pack as DLC? Looking at GT6 website preorders seem to come with one of the other packs as well (Torque, Velocity, Turbo or Adrenaline) or 1 million credits.

Anyone know if Sainsbury's are offering one of the above in addition to Precision pack. Spoke to Customer Services who read what's on website which is useful!!!

    I didn't know about any pre-order bonuses.

Quick Google seems to suggest that it's some of the 25 specials included with the Anniversary Edition broken down into the smaller packs, and one cash/paint pack, specific to certain retailers.

Note that these are akin to the GT5 Black/Stealth cars, with a special livery and unlocked from the start, and that the standard editions are still available normally in-game, probably requiring unlocking via progress.

    Not much to worry about.

@oldschoolsoviet, yep not much to worry about but you know, might as well get what you can :) Are you getting GT6?
  • Deleted user 27 October 2013 10:29:51
Would be good if my Bonus (came when ordering GT5 off Amazon) black McLaren F1 can be used when GT6 arrives.

I do. In GT 5 low tier cars were almost believable, but the higher you go, the more obvious how the physics is messed up
As i've said a million times in the past, and will say one more time, I sure hope an F50 shows up in Gran Turismo 6
