I had to move all of my photos from 2004 onwards onto a external hard drive this afternoon and I casually looked through some of them and saw one photo that shows all 16 of my GameCube games ... I loved the little-ickle cube so much!

    1080° Avalanche
    Animal Crossing
    Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
    Eternal Darkness
    F-Zero GX
    Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
    Luigi's Mansion
    Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
    Metroid Prime
    Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
    Pikmin
    Pikmin 2
    Super Mario Sunshine
    WarioWare Inc.: Mega Party Game$!

The only game I kind of regret not buying was 'Tales of Symphonia' because there was a lull for a good six months before another game came along, but I did okay ... I find that the less games you own/play, the more you appreciate them.

    ... : )

That's not too far removed from my current library actually:

    Animal Crossing
    Baten Kaitos
    Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
    Donkey Konga 2
    Eternal Darkness
    Geist
    LoZ: Wind Waker
    Luigi's Mansion
    Odama
    Paper Mario: TTYD
    Pikmin 1+2
    Skies of Arcadia
    Super Mario Sunshine
    Viewtiful Joe

I've recently been expanding my Gamecube library; it's probably the 'retro' console I now spend most time on, and along with the Dreamcast probably my favourite catalogue of games ever.

I only wish I could find Killer 7, Tales of Symphonia and MGS: Twin Snakes... then my library would be complete (I have the Metroid Trilogy on Wii now).

I'm thinking of offloading y GC library
Git both Killer 7 and ToS in it plus Resi4 which both of you seem to be missing.

Not sure where my collection is though. Might even be lost.

    Anyhow.

It's not hard at all for me to pick one favorite as RE4 is the best gaming experience I've ever had.

But there are so many great games on the GC. I think it's mostly due to coinciding with the perfect gaming age for me.

Hell, even PN03 gives me a smile thinking about it even though it's slightly above average at best.

    @Tonka

It's funny the more I think about it I think that the Gamecube was just an awesome console. Despite disappointing(ish) sales I think it was the console where Nintendo got everything right.

I remember the N64 had big games droughts and also lacked great racing games or fighters. The Wii just didn't get many decent games.

But on the Gamecube you had all the first party goodness plus you didn't feel like a second class citizen when it came to big third party releases. So you got Soul Calibur and Burnout, things like Resi 4, Timesplitters, Twin snakes, the REmakes.

Nintendo were doing some great first party stuff, I liked Wind Waker and Sunshine despite the protests, but I loved Prime, Pikmin, Smash Bros and FZero.

Also had great local multiplayer - the original monkey ball before they buggered with the multiplayer, eight player Mariokart, Smash Bros, Timesplitters.

The more I think about it it might be my favourite console, definitely better than the Wii and the N64.

Sunshine is my favorite Mario game and the GC my favorite console.

But I think the timing plays a big role for me. Had I bought a PS2 instead that would probably have been my favorite.

The GC was a great console though.

I'd be interested in both titles, for the right price, certainly.
Can you PM me with details? That'd be magic, cheers.

I have the wiimake of Resi 4, but even with the extra modes etc I think I liked the GC
    version better.

I'm just doing a little bit of emulation via Dolphin and can't believe how incredible some of the games are on the Gamecube, I've played a good hour on Wind Waker but now I'm downloading Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart Double Dash.

    Loads of fun.

    You better watch out.
    You better beware.

I remember buying my launch day purple cube with star wars rogue squadron 2 and that continued to find its way back into the console the entire time I had it.

    Also eternal darkness was epic

If I had to pick one it would have to be Resident Evil 4, phenomenal! My personal favourite game of all time.

Other favourites though wow where do I begin

    Metroid Prime
    Killer 7
    Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
    Mario Kart: Double Dash
    Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
    Zelda: Wind Waker
    Mario Sunshine
    Luigi's Mansion

Metroid Prime or Pikmin 2. It'd be hard to pick just the one... Resident Evil 4 was defo up there too. Just finished it on PSN the other day actually. I was amazed at how much of that game I had forgotten. The sheer variety in enemies and places... One of the best games ever.

Actually, if you throw in Twilight Princess, Thousand Year Door and Viewtiful Joe in there too, and maybe Luigi's Mansion...

    NOOO!!! The list won't end!!!

Metroid Prime. Was my Zelda OOT of that generation. I've probably said this before.

Metroid Prime. It was the game that above all others made me envious of Gamecube owners until I eventually got one myself.

    Honourable mention to Eternal Darkness.

    I think Pikmin2 and Prime.

Now, I'm going to check back some pages to see if it's what I said last time this thread was bumped!

Metroid Prime, RE4 and Wind Waker were the picks for me. Those three alone were worth the price of the console.

Honourable mentions to Mario Sunshine, Monkey Ball, MP2, REmake and F-Zero GX.
