No. I'm taking my 75 year old mum to London for her birthday...it's closer to Euthanasia than Euphemism.

I hope they have cheese on biscuits so some witty journo can write the "Royal with cheese" caption.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

Pretty fucked timing if you ask me. Cuts here there and everywhere and then we get to watch the rich people havng a shindig from the cheap seats.
All it needs is some made up quote about Kate eating cake and we can polish up the guillotine!

What a shindig that would be...

I assume that we have to pay for this, then?

If so then we should all get a go on Kate. It only seems fair.

It's depressing watching the BBC coverage. So pathetically sycophantic and excessive; is this really the only piece of news at the moment? They even interviewed some soldiers in Helmand province, which was incredibly cringe-worthy, although the soldiers did a good job of pretending they gave a shit.

To be fair, it doesn't seem like there's anything else particularly exciting going on.

Of course, next year when the media circus is at it's height it will become unbearable and I'd highly recommend getting rid of your telly and maybe even gouging your own eyes out around that time to avoid it.

Thankfully I live in another country -- I just occasionally watch BBC news on the internet. Shouldn't have too much trouble avoiding it.

Oh christ, now David Cameron's licking his royal ass :(

Although I quite like the pageantry and tradition the Royals bring, I am starting to slide towards the enough is enough school of thought these days. They should fuck right off really. Elitist bollocks really isn't it?

Cameron's giving his reaction on BBC now. Says it's "incredibly exciting" and that a "great cheer" went up in the cabinet meeting when the news was heard.

"A great day for our country." Only if we get a day off, mate.

I would've thought our country would've grown up a bit and got over this sort of thing by now. I think they should modify the Queen Robocop style so we can keep a monarch but reduce the costs massively. We can just burn the rest of the royals.
