    Official poster revealed:

Can a mod update the thread title? Aronofsky isn't the director anymore and hasn't been in a long time.

I agree. It should be called The Wolverine - Snikt!

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Looks a bit like Ogun's mask there, being used as a gargoyle.

    Nice.

Cool trailer aiming for an epic feel that I'm not sure serves Wolvie well.

Another trailer. It's not looking to shabby at all.

    Reviews are coming in.

3 stars in Total Film. No link as it's got quite a big spoiler in the review if you've not seen the trailers.

It's probably going to be a bit average in all honesty but the new setting and characters maybe better than the Origins story.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Know someone who went to a press screening last night who is a major X-Men nerd. He was incredibly disappointed (again) that one of the best characters of the franchise has been shoehorned into a mediocre action film.

Yeah it looks a bit shit from the trailer. I find most of the Xmen films average at best. The first one was alright. 3/5 is about right for the entire franchise if you ask me.

X-Men 1 and 2 are brilliant films that really set the tone for what a modern comic book adaptation should be, they had the perfect balance of action, strong narrative and mature character development.

Sadly it all went downhill from there. Although First Class was a step in the right direction, but more than a little rough around the edges.

I thought x men 2 was class, although I havent watched it for a good few years now. 3 was awful and killed off that continuation. 1st class was a really good one though

I wonder had Darren Aronofsky directed as originally intended, had it turned out much different?

I thought the trailers made it look like it could be a fun action film. I still may find this to be the case but I've not got high hopes.

Can't seem to find any 2D showings either. Meh!

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

It's about time the studios started spending as much money on hiring decent scriptwriters as they do on fx and the major stars .........

Boring trailers for high-octane action films are usually a terrible sign.

Saw the trailer for this at the flicks in front of Man Of Steel recently.

Everyone laughed their heads off at it, including me.

    Looks shit. Will flop.

edit: I am a fan of the original movies (first 2 and First Class, anyway)

I can't see it flopping, it's got a good few weeks to itself in the US, and the masses love Wolverine in any ole shit (X3 and Origins did well). I'm not remotely hyped for it, so maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise when I catch it. (Yes, I'm one of those that will tend to watch any old shit at the cinema)

I doubt it will flop either. I don't think anyone's going to see this expecting to have their world turned upside-down.

I saw the trailer in 3D a few weeks back and it was easily the worst example of 3D post-production I've ever seen - reminded me of parallex scrolling!
