"Look at banner Michael!"
Pageof 4 First / Last
|Aah I see. I think the next season is about to start in the US.|
|I have to say I've enjoyed season 1 so far.|
This is not back. Is it?|
oh - season 1. carry on.

|Looks like season 2 will start October 4.|
|If you are following this on US schedule then Season 2 started on Friday. And it was a great episode. Built on series one but setting up season 2 nicely. Not going to say anything else for fear of spoilers but if you liked season one then this will not disappoint!|
|Watched it this weekend. It was quite good. =)|
Yup - very good.|
River is a bit unbelievable but apart from that no complaints. Flashbacks were excellent.
Dutch dogs FTW
Charlie_Miso wrote:It was a Belgian something something which only listens to Dutch commands. Which is bullshit anyway but it was a fun element in the episode. I'm not sure what commands he was giving. I think he try to say "sit" (zit) first and then it was just some garbled sounds.
Me and the mrs caught up this weekend, the second half of season 1 started two weeks ago i believe. |
Definitely finding its feet now - LOVED the first episode after the mid-season break, they injected a little bit of humour into the script which worked really well.
Really enjoying it, it does seem to be one of the most under-rated shows on TV at the moment. My only complaint is that, at the moment at least, it does seem to be just a "story of the week" show, where as i would like to see some sort of big, under-lying story going on in the backround.
Looking forward to the next ep!
"Look at banner Michael!"
Season 2 kicks the main 'arc' into overdrive.|
Theres one scene where John walks out of xxxxxxx to 'Eminence Front' by The Who which almost made me pop a boner. Its just a spectacular, crowning moment of awesome.

He totally called it
|Latest episode of Season 2 was kinda fillerish, but the ending made it worth it.|
|It's been a great season so far (again).|
Series 2 episode 16|
Written by Jonathan Nolan, and does it show. Fantastic from start to finish. Probably the best episode yet.
Yeah that was a superb episode.|
For a show that I thought had a weak start, it's now something I look forward to every week. Far too many shows try to have a grand conspiracy storyline but end up taking a journey up their own posteriors. POI is keeping it nice and focused.
|Whoevers in charge of the music is on point too. The Kills was a great choice.|
He totally called it
|@TheRealBadabing yeah, when it first started I enjoyed it but could see it being a Quantum Leap 'victim of the week' show. Yet, they've managed to create a great story and world which they happily pillage, bringing in characters as regular 'cameos' etc. I hope it gets enough of an audience to reach a third season.|
|Watched the first season and enjoyed it a lot, a good replacement for Human Target in terms of escapism and fun. Haven't really got started on season 2 yet so happy to hear it's giving the story arc more attention! Also, noticed the latest ep getting really positive write-ups in a few places, must get back into this! Really want something new with a good long term story going on, now that Fringe is over.|
I couldn't be bothered with another long season after the first. I kinda like shorter seasons that get to the point.|
May have to give it a whirl again from recent comments.
TheRealBadabing wrote:It was an excellent episode. I was actually happy enough to get a well-made, ralatively light, number-of-the-week type show when I started watching it, but they're managing the whole Babylon 5 style plot arcs in an episodic show thing very well. Nice to see Sara Shahi, who was Damien Lewis's partner in Life. I loved that show and was sad to see it go.
It's always good to see Enrico Colantoni, even if he now only seems to pop up very occasionally. Not much you can do with a character who's stuck in jail, even if he's still running the organised crime.
|This just reminded me that I have 4 episodes to catch up on including the one mentioned. Well, that is my Saturday evening (post England - France rugby) sorted. Good to hear the quality isn't dipping as well. And based on ratings in the states it looks sure to be renewed for season 3.|
Watched the first two episodes of season one and thought it was OK. Like the concept but it seemed a bit tame, lacking an edge and as though it could become quite formulaic. Should I persevere?|

|Yes, definitely. The first bit of Season 1 is still entertaining enough but it only really gets going later on. Can't really remember how long until it clicks but around midway through season 1 I can remember really getting hooked.|
@HairyArse Yeah, give it some more time. Although, in all honesty, the first season is *very* formulaic, with not that many diversions although plenty emerge towards the end of the season and apparently that's what they run with in Season 2.|
But the show is pretty good fun despite the formula.
Although I'm now 5 episodes in to season 2 and not seeing much of an arc emerge yet!

|Latest episode was very good, one of those "draw the line" moments that signal a cracking end of season. Love that they are massively upping the stakes with enough time to actually resolve some stuff before the end of this run.|
|The final Machine segment in the latest episode was a real "oh fuck!" moment.|
This space left intentionally blank.
|I am loving this show; started off as a "monster of the week" type show but it's really gained depth and character - the characters have really gained depth and character too.|
It's only this season I have begun to appreciate the contrast between the claustrophobic nature of police-work compared to the open-world freedom that Howard and John enjoy. Really well directed/edited to reinforce that feel.|
I'm sure that will be a big factor in the next couple of episodes, now they have had that rug pulled from under them.
I started watching season 3 but I'm losing my interest a little. |
Feels like it's flagging a bit compared to seasons 1 and 2.
